| I have thoroughly enjoyed catching up. The trouble is after reading one chapter after another now I've caught up I have to wait for the next chapter. | Wow, great chap! Very realistic panicking Hermione dealing with the discovery she has made.
I’m grateful that this hasn’t become an Oh-It-Is-Snape-But-I’m-In-Love-So-What’s-The-Matter-story because that’s a very simple and plain way of dealing with it.
You’ve really dealt with Hermione’s emotions extraordinarily well.
Sure, we all know Severus is the best thing that could happen to Hermione but every time you read a new hg/ss you should refrain from the Hermione who has already accepted being in love with the greasy git. And that’s hard if the author doesn’t describe Hermione’s struggles with her emotions…
I’m looking forward to upcoming chapters as I’ve done now for a long while…
Ah, one last thing: Please, please don’t let Severus get too loving and fond, many people always say: but everybody has his soft side.That’s true but I think Severus is someone who wouldn’t show his emotions if not in a very extreme situation. As Calleo it is totally different, Severus acts as someone else and that’s why it is easier for him to let down his guards a bit, especially as it can only help him with his intentions if Hermione has the same reaction to him, which would logically become stronger if returned by him.
And he could always say: ”No, I haven’t got these feelings, I just got too deep into my role.”
To sum it up: I hope, you’ll distinguish between Calleo and Severus.

Author's Response: Your English is fine, especially since English is not your native language. Glad you found Hermione's little mental breakdown realistic. Yes, Hermione does not have fond memories of our dear ex-Potions professor. She has to come around to realizing certain things before she can accept the idea that not only have Severus has changed, but that she can allow herself to love him. Severus, with his Calleo persona, has begun to explore a side of his personailty that is not so quick to insult. Severus is pretty confused about himself. More on that in chapter 41. | |||

| Your story occupies me a lot. Posibilities are going round and round in my head. Somehow I get the feeling that the situation between Ron and Hermione will be spiralling towards abuse. In my opinion Ron is already abusing her for some time. The comment about being an "intellectual snob" which he made some time ago, shows that he was trying to subdue her for longer than Hermione is aware of. Only recently she began to notice his remarks for what they are - not witty remarks but aimed to hurt and control. I fear wether he is going to step the line to physicyal abuse and how Hermione would react, guilt-ridden and shaken as she is. Hermione's breakdown is sort of scary, but understandable. There's only so much a girl can take without reaction. Author's Response: I hope my story does not occupy the part of the mind involved with breathing, sleeping and eating. ;-) You are quite correct. Though Ron has never hit Hermione, what he says to her does count as emotional abuse. More on that in chapter 41. You have a good idea where I might be taking this story. The hexing betwen them at the last counseling session was as close to physical as it's come between them. Yes, poor Hermine is really at her breaking point. A heavy dose of introspection and reality is coming Hermione's way over the next three chapters. Thanks for your very insightful review. | |||

| Is it bad that a teenager desperately wants an Ibrik and some nice Turkish coffee? Hmmm, I know what I'm asking my parents for for Christmas...
Anyway, another great chapter. Very angsty and very beautiful at the same time.. Author's Response: A teenager? You'd better be 18 or 19. I don't want to get my ass hauled off to jail for corruption of a minor. It's not odd to want an Ibrik, if you are a coffee lover. Thank you. | Ooooh...have I mentioned that I love you yet? I must've forgotten. But you are a goddess! Not only have you written a fantastic story but you've also also managed to make a vegan very very happy. I love raspberry dressings; they're the only vegan dressing that I can always get at a restaurant...

| Wow. Hermione is breaking down in front of our eyes -- is no one capable of seeing this? I wonder if she's going to be so scared of the truth, or tired, or whatever, that would prevent her from going back to Calleo's on Monday. I've always thought that George was the younger twin, too, for the same reasons you did. Wonderful as always, Betz! Please don't keep us in suspense for too long! Author's Response: Ginny would notice this, but she thinks it's because of the wizard divorce/mortailty issue, not the sudden realization that Calleo is Snape. It is pretty shocking still to suddenly realiza that if you get pregnant that you are stuck forever with a man you are entertaining thoughts about divorcing. Hermione will be doing a LOT of thinking and self reflection over the next two chapters. Glad you are still enjoying this. | |||
