wonder why she didn't use her wand to see if anyone was following her like Ginny does.. Then again that night it wouldn't have made a difference.

I've had to start reading from the beginning a few times, like before I start working on chapter 51 after being away from it for years, then again a couple more times, and then again a few more times once I finished to make sure all plot threads were addressed and details covered. Whew! 800,000 words... | |||

| I am obsessed with this story. I can't stop reading and I can't wait to see what happens next. The characters are so realistic and you have really captured the emotions of them so well while telling a thrilling story. Love it! Author's Response: Thank you! I really wanted my characters to act and react like real people do, and sometimes they engage in petty, vindictive, selfish act motivated by all sorts of reasons. Most of all, if we can experience or see those emotions, it can explain why people do the things they do in my story. | |||

| This story is one of my all time favorites so I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of the story. This synopsis a great idea to serve as a reminder and refresher. It has really wet my appetite for more. Bring on the next chapter 😋 Author's Response: Chapter 51 will post around Halloween, by the time I finish uploading chapter 50 to AO3 and updating chapters 42-50 on Ashwinder and AFF by October 30th. I'll be putting Chapter 51 into the Ashwinder queue about October 29th to give the mods a few days to validate, since this last summary chapter posted in less than a day. Also, if you visit my Tumblr page I have for this fic, you can see old fan art that was taken down or had dead URLs over the years and can only be seen now with my posting. Some fanart is still available for viewing on DeviantArt, but a lot of it is gone, except for me saving it to my hard drive years ago. | It's always a pleasant surprise when a WIP that seemed abandoned gets updated, especially with the promise that it will be finished. Way too many WIPs in fandom. Thank you ! Author's Response: It's not a promised that it will be finished. It's a factual statement it *IS* finished. I just didn't want to send chapters off to my betas until it was complete so I didn't have to wish I could throw in/change details on previously posted chapters. It's DONE, baby! Epilogue and all. The only hold up is how fast my betas can go through each chapter for editing. And given it's 118 chapters (including epilogue) and some chapters that are so large that they will have to be posted in two-parts, it will take a while for this to be fully posted online. But it's done. All 800,000+ words of it (rough estimate). | |||

| I am so glad you are going to finish this story. It has always been one of my faves. Every now and then I do reread the story, so this was a nie surprise. Author's Response: '...going to finish..'? Nope, it's complete, done, baked and ready to serve. Only thing holding up posting as fast as teh Ashwinder queue could handle is the fact I still need it to be betaed, and I didn't start sending off chapters to my betas until it was complete, so I didn't have to backtrack and patch up little holes. Right now my betas going through my chapters at a current rate of one every 1-1/2 weeks, so updates will be one chapter a week until my buffer is eaten up. Then it's posting as fast as my betas can keep up. | |||
