| Another great chapter. Last time when I said that Ron is cheating on Hermione, it was because of how shifty & nervous Rosmerta got, when Hermione mentioned Ron's position as a Cannons' keeper. Also, Ron got a bit dodgy when he mentioned learning how to dance from Rufus' wife. Maybe I am just reading into things too much. On another note, Ginny shouldn't be too hard on Hermione. After all, she is Ginny's last hope of escaping England with Draco. In a way, she is being just as much of a hypocrite as Hermione. She should understand that Hermione's marriage is almost as bad as her own, if not worse. So what's wrong with seeking comfort from Calleo. At least she's not committing adultery, (yet?) Is Draco going to tell Ginny soon about his conjectures about Severus' feelings? I'm sure she would be very shocked as she did not forsee that turn of events. I think that is all the questions and comments I had so far. Please update soon with a nice long chapter. Author's Response: You could be reading into things...or not. Yes, GInny has her own hypocracy regarding Hermione's situation, but Ron is her brother- her closest brother, and so there is the skew of family involved. People can tend to be very blind where family is concerned. More on that in ch33. And don't worry about another update soon. There will be two chapter updates a week up through ch32. | |||

| Dearest Betz, The hints at Ron's affair with Lavender are more and more numerous - I suppose this means Hermione will get to know about it sooner rather than later? I am looking forward to reading her reaction (or lack thereof?). The dialogue was as always very interesting and I love your pacing. Slow, but never boring. You give the word 'build up' a new meaning ;) But let's not be nasty - I am really glad that for once the protagonists don't immediately jump into bed together. Something different is nice. | This is so frustrating, which is very, very good. So has Hermione become a convincing liar over the years? Not that it does any good when the other person knows the truth (or at least part of it). I bet that Ginny is frustrated beyond all get out that Hermione hasn't told her about her visits, as she probably wants to keep tabs on Hermione's emotional status, with good reason. Oh! What complicated webs they (you) are weaving. BTW: you are cruel, dropping hints, then when we, your humble readers, pick up on them, you just say "circumstantial evidence folks, proves nothing"... grr.
Still loving the story, though I wish it was all done RIGHT NOW! Author's Response: Yes, well Hermioe doesn't know GInny knows. It will be itneresting to see what happens when Hermione learns that Ginny knew all along. I'm beign cruel? Surely, not littl' 'ol me? It could come to a happy end or a rather messy and sad ending destroying every single life that is touched by this cascade of events. Hmmm, only time will tell. | I can't wait to read your explanation of Ron's behaviour. I wonder who was thinking for him about the romance and dating stuff - clearly a woman, I'd think. Either Ginny who wants to help them or maybe his lover, who wants to help covering up their affair. And who is giving him dancing lessons? I wonder what Rufus' wife would answer if questioned on the subject. And to whom will Hermione turn for dancing instructions? My bet is on Calleo ... I din't understand the part with the escape box - to which specific secret was Hermione referring? You wrote she had 2, the other one being her seing Calleo. So I wonder what the first one would be. As always, a great chapter. Author's Response: Yes, there is a very interesting story behind Ron's motivations for making reservations at the Grand Royal Supper Club. Dancing lessons from Calleo? Gee...what makes you think that? ;-) Regardign Hermione's escape box, there is a brief mention of it in chapter 24. The "escape box" will be explained in ch32. | |||

| It's interesting to me that some other reviewers are equating what Ginny has done with what Hermione is doing.Though they both have betrayed their husbands, I don't really see the betrayals as equal. I find Ginny far more reprehensible, and incredibly selfish and childish, of the two. Ginny dishonestly and consciously entered into her marriage with Harry in love with another man whereas Hermione did not. It is appalling that Ginny thinks that she could not end her liason with Draco merely because it is "inconvenient" to her marriage. Inconvenient! Try willfully destructive and hurtful, not only to the two men but ultimately to herself as well.
Love the story. It obviously gets me in a lather! Thank you and please write more soon. Author's Response: Well, Ginny wants to leave Harry, but Draco has instructed her not to leave Harry until the time is right. So it's not like Ginny wants to stay with Harry and play around onthe side with Draco - she wants to be with Draco period. Ginny was worn down by her family to start dating Harry, resigned that maybe she would never see Draco again. There's more on this story tangent in chapter 33 when Ginny, Draco and Severus talk. | |||

| Could it be that the revelers in the corner, singing the Chudley Cannons fight song are Ron's teammates and the reason why Rosmerta was looking slightly nervous after Hermione mentioned that her other half is Keeper for the Chudley Cannons and is supposed to be on a pub-crawl with his team is, that Ron is not amongst them? And you truly want to make us think it is coincidence that happens in the same chapter as Lavender was heard to be having a lover? Well, could be, of course, but I still keep thinking ... And Severus having problems shagging a georgous woman because she isn't Hermione ... íf that isn't love, nothing else is. Good he realised this. It's so good to have another chapter to read today. Thanks for writing this great story, which is definitely my favourite one. Author's Response: My goodness, such a leap to conclusions! Yes, it could be pure coinsidence that Lavender was having sex in the same chapter that Ron was out for a pub-crawl. Yes, as the song by Madness goes, "It must be love, love, love..."
