| Sigh... This USTitis is getting painful. It's becoming something chronic, rather than a passing infection. It's hard suffering through something like this never knowing whether it will end at all, let alone how soon. I agree that Hermione is no where near ready to be intimate with Snape, but Galdarnit Betz! Have pity upon us poor fools! Give us something more than dried up lemons!
I must say that I was half hoping that Snape would pick her up off the floor and carry her to the a) settee, b) bed or c) kitchen countertop, but how you wrote it was far more realistic and, in it's realism, sweet than any of those options. Once again, well done.
Will the lemons ever be juicy (asks the person who usually avoids lemonade)? Author's Response: I'm sorry it's painful, I hope it's not beginning to drip. You know, a shot of penicillan will usually clear that up. I recommend using a condom so you don't catch it again in the future. :-)) And you want me to have pity on you? To quote Superchicken, "You know the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred." Don't worry, at some point I will provide relief for your condition. But if you want them to kiss, don't you want it to be with some realism and for Hermione to have no regrets? | |||

| OOOO. I'm so glad you've updated so soon. :D Your story is wonderful, and I can't get enough of it. It's one of those stories you can read over and over and never get sick of it. I hope your going to update again soon. I want to shake Hermione and say "Dammit! Choose Severus, he's waaaaaay sexier and BETTER than Ron! Are you stupid?" But, alas, Hermione is very...straight-laced. I can't see her being compulsive either. The sexual tensions terrible (or good, depending on your point of view I suppose). Grrr, I just wish Hermione'd give in to her feelings and shag Severus!
All in all, an awesome story. I honestly don't know how you do it. If I could write as well as you...I'd be so happy. Like I mentioned, update soon, pretty please?
Author's Response: So glad you are enjoying my fic so much. I'm working as fast as I can on chapter 42, but alas, I am dealing with my 15 month-old gettting over a fever and I think I'm coming down with it myself. So I will try and get some writing done in my head if I can't sit at the computer. Yes, Severus is WAY sexier, and smarter, and mature than Ron, but Hermione has to come to grips with that reality and embrace it. Yes, lots of sexual tension, but that's a good thing. Anticipation makes for great...release. I only write as well as I do because I've done a lot of it. Practice, practice, practice. My first fanfic stuff is pretty lame and mediocre, so if you want to write better, then just keep writing. | |||

| Hi Betz, perhaps that´s a little bit stupid, but what exactly means “UST”? I´m not familiar with this abbreviation. Btw, I really meant the title “Queen of Tease” as an honour to you – it takes some skill to close a chapter at the most critical point, and in my opinion you´ve developed this skill very well while writing this story. And I´ve never, ever, wanted to whine about the break, I truly appreciate how you manage to write so much stuff in such short time, with all the daily work with your little ones and without enough sleep to boot. ~ Moyra Author's Response: I'm TEASING you. I bow humbling to your crowning of me. UST stands for "unresolved sexual tension". It means I get Severus and Hermione all hot and bothered to the point of where they start dry-humping each other (oops, did that already) and then don't give them (or the readers) any release. | Yay for absinthe . . . I did a ton of research on that stuff awhile back . . . I think I was intrigued that all of my favorite writers/poets seemed to imbibe it like there was no tomorrow, but yeah . . . it's interesting that research has shown that the "Muggle" absinthe doesn't produce hallucinogenic effects (it just makes one really, really drunk quickly), but perhaps Oscar Wilde and his peers were drinking the Fairy Brandy, eh?
Umm, actual review: Lovely chapter, as always. I knew that they weren't going to reveal what they knew! That was beyond irritating, but you wrote that strange surreality very well. UST: vastly frustrating, but I'm sure that all of this waiting will make it significantly more rewarding in the end, assuming that it does get unresolved. I don't have much to say other than the aforementioned, and I can't wait for the next chapter because I'm quite interested in reading how Ron and Hermione interact while she's in that happy-land of the very [magically] drunk. I'm assuming that it's happy, of course, but you know . . . intoxication usually isn't a terribly sad place to be while you're in it, righ? ;-) Author's Response: Yeah, artists are something inspired by the phamological fairy, who wears a nice little white lab coat when she isn't dressing like an Orion slave girl. Yeah, the UST is maling ME squirm, but don't worry, there will be an end to the UST. I promise. There is so much I would like to say in response to your lovely review, but I can't. | |||

| I thought it might have been Absinthe! That's a nasty drink. I hope that Hermione doesn't go nuts on Ron when she gets home. Or freak out at the sight of his floating head in the grate. Or inebratedly have sex with him and get preggers! Man, that would be bad news. Meanwhile, this is too suspenceful... I want snogs and I want 'em soon. Please. Author's Response: Have never had Absinthe, and probably never will, since I consider licorice/anise to be the most vile taste on the earth...I'd rather eat these Bertie Bott flavors first: dirt, grass, earwax, cat vomit, troll boogie, and "golden surprise". Having a drug enduce psychopath Hermione does hold a certain appeal. It would be an easy way to get rid of Ron. Hang on, Hermione has already accepted the fact that maybe Snape is still better company than Ron. So she just may accept the fact he's a better shag too. | |||

| Just a kiss...I can't stand the UST! Couldn't they have at least kissed? As usual, your chapter leaves me sitting at my computer anxiously awaiting another update. Your story is as addictive as absinthe. And speaking of green, I loved the line about the minty-green tan. I must have missed that as I go though phases of reading Doonesbury and the not. Oh, it's not easy being green, or waiting for them to $*@%. Oh, please don't let Hermione go home drunk to Ron and get pregnant.
