| Today was a very sad day in my family and I just wanted something sweet and loving to read. This was perfect. It helped my heart to feel less hallow and numb. | Yes, Etta James' version of "At Last" is the definitive one. I was also impressed you were familiar with Ellington's "The Mooche". Another excellent chapter, and I'm glad Rainbow finally got her comeuppance for her drinking prank on Severus! Author's Response: Between the pranks pulled at the monthly Potions Masters booze-up and the twin, Hermione knows lots of ways to get revenge. And of course I know "The Moochie." My parents were big Dixieland jazz fans and I went to several Sacramento Dixieland Jazz Jubilees with them as a teen/young adult. That was a classic, along with Dixie jazz interpretation of "Caravan" that was a popular favorite. | |||
