| Lol. I also had forgotten about him being a widower. What you read a fic one chapter at a time that happens. It is also one of the reasons I reread my favorites from the start after they are done. I really enjoyed the chapter and loved the bed and breakfast scene. Author's Response: Yeah, you're not the only one. Who else taught Severus to be such a damn fine sex god in the first place - his Ravenclaw wife. Yeah, I love the bed & breakfast scene for the fact it let's them feel like a normal couple in love instead of hiding away in Severus flat, and doing something romantic besides the usual dinner, dancing and sex and the fact they FINALLY said "I love you" to each other. | |||

| And what happens with the lemons on Albus' grave? What is it about them that makes me think of them every time I read a new chapter and don't hear of them.

| As I am not so young myself anymore, I was going to be angry when you had the middle-aged witch not be so competent. But then you had elderly witch Fastrada Johnson, who is exactly what Hermione herself could have become, had not her circumstances for the apprenticeship improved! Married for decades to a fine Potions Master--just didn't get the piece of paper! And twice as old as the not-as-competent middle-aged witch--so I have no bone to pick here whatsoever, happily. So glad to know Hermione's old post will be properly filled, even helping to keep Trevor improving. Another well-written chapter--but now I've run out of them again. I await the next ones with great interest. Thanks for all your hard work. Author's Response: I'm glad you understood that being middle aged does not equate to being incompetent. It is being older and not having used certain skills for decades makes one out of practice, and Hermione cannot afford to wait for someone to spend weeks coming up to sped when she leaves. Also, my mother was a Chemistry major in college, but when first married didn't know how to cook. So the reverse would be knowing how to cook doesn't equate to Chemistry competency is, which is basically what Potions testing is. As for the next chapter, I will post it early since I have a trip next weekend and want to keep up with the chapter a week posting. | |||

| You had me there, Zabini as big red herring was too fascinating. And plausible. I always assumed much of Ron’s dislike regarding Hermione’s body stemmed from his preference of men. I’m not sure if I prefer the long ongoing infidelity with Lavender, three and a half years are a very long time, the better part of his married life, isn’t it? If Ron were truly playing the other side of the fence, I could understand that he didn’t want a divorce from Hermione, the marriage helping him hide his true inclinations from Molly, his family and the rest of wizarding world. But I can’t comprehend his staying with Hermione despite his long affair with another woman – that’s cowardly.
Anyway, it’s been a really big big bang, genially done, all the misinterpretations of certain situations.
On another note, I truly feel sad for Hermione, because she is going to lose her love(r) and her best friend, her most important confidants. Whom will she talk to (and cry on) when both are gone? Harry won’t be a possibility, Ron neither. Lavender is the only one knowing (and respecting) all involved… I don’t consider her a bad scheming person, she had to juggle a lot, and she’s been faithful to Ron. Perhaps Hermione and she will come to a sort of understanding, after some blowing up…
Author's Response: Yes, it is very cowardly, in a way, but int he next chapter, Lavender tells Hermione Ron's reasons why he didn't leave her, which are noble in their own different way. You may not agree with them, but just read the next chapter. And yes, Hermione will be losing Severus and Ginny, but she'll have other things to keep her occupied, like lots of studying. | |||
