| For some weird reason, the pressure seems to of lessoned, and belive me, thats a good thing, I really thought I would pop over the last few chapters. Its probably the eye of the storm though ,) looking forward to chapter 41 with bated breath.
I just dont know how it will go.. I mean if Herms is pretending she knows nothing and Severus is obviously going to burst that bubble... well.. its going to be interesting thats for sure.
ps... Just have to tell you you are my favourite writer, again *grins* | |||

| I am very much enjoying this story. You are an amazing writer, and the emotional capacity of your characters is amazing. I can't wait for the confrontation between Hermione and Severus. | Ah! Ah! A big cliffhanger- yet, any ending to a chapter of yours makes me beg for more. I do hope Ch. 42 is on its way (I hadn't even realized we were in Ch.41...wow!). I had had a feeling it was Lavender that Hermione was seeing- I was also wondering if Severus would connect the two when Lavender asked about Hermione after neglecting to say who had given her information. I'm curious to see how their night goes... Will they finally reveal themselves? Only time will tell! And what about those Lemons, eh? That was sweet, I enjoyed when Hermione went to visit Minvera and Albus' graves. Great job once again! Thank you! Author's Response: There is just no pleasing you except to tell you all the spoilers and have all the rest of this story written immediately and posted yesterday. Well, I want the body I had when I was 26 again, but we can't always get what we want. ;-) Severus would not even consider Hermione, as she does not work in the Auror Dept. | Ha ha about the lemons, very funny. Ok, so now you leave us hanging again, I knew you'd do that, you always make it painfully slow. *sigh* Great chapter by the way, I am very excited to know how everything will move, and very sad that it's not going to be a happy thing. I really feel sorry for Severus. Author's Response: Tee-hee. Yes, I thought the lemon reference was pretty funny too. :-)) Things will progress in the next chapter, all right. | Boy, what a downer. (But this is a good thing.) I did laugh out loud when I realized what lemons you were referring to in the chapter summary, though. Excellent chapter, Betz; you've conveyed Hermione's depression quite effectively. Hermione's talk to Minerva and Albus, complete with her rebuttals to their assumed reactions, was very good. Author's Response: Hermione is close to rock bottom. How much lower can she go? You'll see next chapter. (DA-DUM-DUM!) Glad you found humor in my lemon reference. Some people might be close to homicidal screaming "bait and switch". Glad to hear back that I have conveyed Hermione's emotional desperation. | |||

| I love how you had Hermione talking to Albus & Minerva. I was hoping that they would talk back to her, like they "talk" to Snape. They could tell her to stop fretting and shag him already. I hope Snape and Hermione get everything worked out. I just really really couldn't stand it if Hermione flat out rejected him without giving him a chance to explain. I don't think she will though. I think she's come to depend on his companionship so much that she won't give it up without a REALLY good reason. And her preconcieved notions of Snape aren't a good enough reason. Plus she did promise him that she would still be his friend. Sigh. This chapter is a nail-biter for sure. And talk about EVIL cliffie!!! Author's Response: Yeah, I like Hermione talking with them too. She needed to get a lot off her chest. You'll have to see how the night ends between Hermione and Severus. Yes, I know an evil cliffie, but the next chapter is really long, so I could not combine it with this one, even if I wanted. There is an 11,000 word limit on chapter length. | |||
