| OMG - I really hate Moody! Feeling 'affection' for a Death Eater because using common courtesy? And the way he went down on Severus ... Although each chapter is worth the wait, I wished your update frequency was higher (but I know that's hard to do with kids). Author's Response: Yes, Moody sees monsters in the shadows. Just because Hermione doesn't want to behave in such a way that would justify a pre-blood's disdain for Muggle-borns by being polite, Moody would have to see it differently. And hopefully my betas won't have to deal with round of foaling for a while or getting food poisoning and I will have good little angels who will let me write. Hopefully, I'll be back to a chapter a week now for updates. | |||

| I've never liked Moody. You've given me much more fodder in my dislike. What they've done to Draco and Severus is inexcusable. I can understand Hermione's guilt and I'm grateful she didn't go into CAPSLOCK mode like Harry did in book 5. A wonderful chapter and I hope your beta is feeling better! And congratulations to Horserider too! ~Lisa Author's Response: Yes, what Moody has done to them, he sees it as just punishment for one wrong decision during their youth. Hermione might have gone CAPLOCK before, but she's just snapped and feels a bit beaten. She's too tired to scream or be angry right now. | |||

| So happy to read yet another update on this...one of my current favorites. Kudos to Shackelbolt for being an upstanding if not appreciative supporter of Snape's fight for the light! Still, I wish to see some action with Snape and Hermione ;) Author's Response: Yes, Shacklebolt knows what is right and what is wrong, but he also has to look out for himself too by not sticking his neck out too far or he won't be around to help Severus and Draco. Severus and Hermione action will be coming in chapter 25. | |||

| Oh goody you updated! About bloody time I say! *winks* Hehe...anyway this chapter was well worth the wait. I am thoroughly enjoying this story. I have to say though that the Ministry (excluding Shakelbolt) and especially Moody are a bunch of BLOODY F*ING IDIOTS! Argh I can't stand them! *grits teeth and clenches fists* What they are doing to Draco and Severus is just so wrong. And it isn't even helping with the non-reformed Death Eaters. I mean, if Dolohov hadn't been forced to spend the rest of his life operating a lift and under the Ministry's thumb he wouldn't have snapped and killed Marge and the other person. Oh just so frustrating. I have to say I am really hoping that Hermione is able to find a way to get Severus and Draco out from under this law so that they don't have to run away. Although, the idea of living in the French countryside in some beautiful home with Severus (or Draco, but I prefer Severus *winks*) is definitely an alluring one...hehe. Anway, great chapter! Next time update faster! Hehe I know some people do actually have lives outside of HP fan fiction. Who would've thought, huh? *grins* Author's Response: Hopefully, RL life will be kind to my betas and me and updates will go back to about once a week. GLad you're enjoying my fic. Ys, the Ministry is a bunch of idiots, but you have to cut Shacklebolt some slack. He doesn't like going along with the Minsitry guidelines for dealing with Death Eaters, but if he makes too much of a scene or sticks his neck out too far, he won't be around to watch out for Severus and Draco and some jerk might become thier next parole officer....maybe even Moody. Then there would be real problems. So it's better that Shacklebolt goes along while helping him inwhat little way he could be doing the bare minimum for the parole meetings. You are right about Dolohov. If it wasn't this way, he wouldn't have snapped. As to Hermione finding a way to clear their names...well, we'll see. French countryside? Sounds nice, but ther are problems with that place I'll discuss in a future chapter. | |||
