| Another great chapter; I don't even want to analyze too much it 'cause I'm just so caught up in the story, I'm just cruising with it (or something to that effect).
I will echo all the compliments about the lemon drop tree and the graveyard 'discussion,' neither of which I saw coming and which were rewarding and seemed to have a couple of levels that you might come back to. The graveyard scene also make me remember how much I absolutely loved & valued your narrative of Hermione many chapters back when she was buying herbs and flowers for her co-worker's funeral and thinking about what she had gathered for Albus and Dumbledore, so sad but it also reaffirmed her as being very thoughtful, caring & contempletive. I do wonder about the lemon drops, eh? Are they just a clever joke or are they going to show up again with all that detail?
I'm certainly glad Hermione went to lesson - I wouldn't expect anything less from _you_, actually, never mind her feelings. I'm very nervous though. And I'm just as eagerly waiting for the next chapter as everyone who screams at you. Author's Response: Thanks, Cath. Glad you found the cemetery scene to your liking. Hermione needed to get that off her chest. The lemons? Hmmm, could be Albus' attempt at being punny, or it could be soemthing more significant. We'll have to wait and see if that plotline bears fruit (ha-ha). Hermione would not back down fom her promise of showing up Monday night, though it did cross her mind. Thank you for not chanting the usual "EVIL AUTHOR," "Evil Cliffie," "Update soon, or else!" It's a relief. I get bugged by my 2 kids enough, as it is. It's nice to get a break. | |||

| AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it just ends there oh so very very evil. why oh why please please update soon. thanks for the wonderful chap though and i loved the lemons, even if they were a little dry. Author's Response: Go bitch as teh SH mods for their 11,000 word chapter limits. There is only so much I can pack into one chapter, dearie. Unless, of course, you wanted me to end the chapter in the middle of the meeting, leaving you with an even BIGGER cliffie. | |||

| Thanks for the chapter! I was very happy to see it posted and to see that it was a long one. What a place to leave it though. I am dying to know what is going to happen. Hurry with the next chapter please (uses best puppy dog eyes). Author's Response: Next one is even longer. I know, evil cliffie, but the next one is so long, there is no way I could combine both of them. My betas are working as fast as they can to get chapter 41 ready for you. Pretty please? Author's Response: Hmmm, if I was truly evil, I'd spite you all for calling me evil and abandon this fic right now. MUWAHAHAHA! (Twirls fake moustache glued to my upper lip and rubs hands in a sinister, fly-like manner.) Hey, I could have made this an even worse cliffie by ending the chapter in the middle of the meeting. Trust me, it could have been a far worse cliffie. If I really was evil, I wouldn't tell you when the next chapter is coming, if at all. But since I am a very nice author, I will tell you it's on the way very soon. | |||

| Oh. You're. Mean. I knew I shouldn't have read it, I just knew it...now I'm sitting here all twitchy wondering what's going to happen when Snape opens the door. Poor man, I don't know why Hermione is overly worried, the guy thought about pressing handkerchiefs, isn't that a sign of positive change? Isn't it?! C'mon Hermione, throw him a bone. And what on earth could those lemons be used for? Everything in the story is there for a reason and now I'm curious about fruit. :-) Please, stop my anticipatory twitching and post again soon! Author's Response: Not mean...just a wicked tease. >P Snape is nervous with good reason. He screws this up, he has to answer to Draco and Ginny. Hmm, what indeed could those lemons be good for? | Wonderful chapter, I enjoyed it very much. Just two queries. Is it ever warm in Scotland? (Its cold for us who live here) And did you mean warm English Summer when Hermione left her office as I thought she worked for the ministry in London. Author's Response: Well, I did get up to Carlisle and Hadrian's wall once and it was nice then. Remember, this is the begining of a major heatwave in England, the heat wave of 2003, so some of it got up north to Hogsmeade. | |||
