| I'm so glad that Severus is there to care for Hermione. I don't know what is wrong with Harry in that he cannot seem to see anyone else's pain for wallowing in his own. They really do compliment each other perfectly! Well done!

| I have enjoyed this story very much so far. I like your characterisations: a strong Hermione, and an hmm... emotionally challeng, but not stunted Severus, who's flawed but still recognisably already the man Harry will one day call the bravest man he ever knew.
The dark AU! interpretation of Sirius is believable, and not done for larks -- it fits the plot and moves the story forwards. Poppy and Minerva are well-drawn, and in her short scene, Ginny came across as very real and life-like. I also like how Dumbledore remains an ambiguous figure -- not outright evil like he's presented in some stories, but also not as the candy-doling uberfather of others.
While many elements maybe be traditional motifs of the HGSS genre (love curse, magical bond, h/c, threat of torture and rape, death of Hermione's parents ...), they are used in thoughtfully and adroitly, and fit the story seamlessly -- making for a thoroughly enjoyable read.
And it's been a long time since I've found myself trying to click on to the next chapter without realising that there is no next chapter yet ... Author's Response: Juno, this is one of those reviews that every writer prays to the heavens for. I am so truthfully grateful for your thoughtful feedback of the characters, and in your feedback I see everything I hoped to be able to convey in my writing. I started this story as a lark, but it has become a bit of an epic in my head. I will say that I have vowed I will never do another 'in canon' fic. It is just too stressful! It started out as a jealousy fic between Severus and Sirius, and suddenly, we are in the realm of 100K words! Thank you, and I hope I can continue to make this story enjoyable. It is for readers like yourself that I wish it so. | |||

| Oh Teddy, lass......I should be ironing and packing for my jollies. What a wonderful, poignant but also very uplifting chapter. They are so in tune with each other and their honesty is a boon to their relationship.
