| The way the Dark Caress won't allow him to correct his lie is fantastic. I'm sure that he wishes it wasn't a lie, and I think that had something to do with the fact that the curse wouldn't let him speak the truth. I can't believe she made that oath! What could have been going through her mind at that time? Does that mean what I think it means, and so much more? And does Hermione actually think that she will be able to tell Sirius to stop advancing on her, and he will actually listen and do what she asks? Sirius throwing it in Severus' face that he had Lily and will have Hermione was a low blow. No he did not just say that he is going to be having sex with Hermione on the Easter holidays!!!! And no she didn't hear him say that!!!! The shit is about to hit the fan, and it all will be directed at Severus. Unless he can worm his way out of it like he does with everything else. | Dumbledore can be quite the asshole, can't he? I love the internal battle that Severus has within himself. The Dark Caress is making him desire Hermione, and bringing the thoughts and feelings that he has been pushing back up to the forefront. And then he feels disgusted with himself because he is lusting after a student. And also, he is feeling like he is betraying his memory of Lily and feels guitly about that as well.
“And if you will not repay her infatuation with one of your own.” Does this mean that Dumbledore expects them to have a little affair? I know Dumbledore is all for the Greater Good and all, but condoning a student/teacher affair is just not right. He has some priorities mixed up if you ask me.
If she could only tell Harry about Siruis... But her bond for friendship is so much stronger and she doesn't want to hurt him. Hopefully, Harry will figure it out on his own, or catch Sirius in the act.
I think Madam Pomfrey is great. I'm glad that she is able to see that Dumbledore is being rather unhelpful about Severus' situation. And I love how Hermione gave him a piece of her mind! Author's Response: Not only does he condone it, he's pretty much orchestrated it... hee hee | |||

| Honey....I'm hoomme! And OMG! What do I find? A marriage proposal. Absolutely wonderful and I'm dusting off my fascinator as I write. What a briliant twist and turn and take on the whole Severus having to kill DD plot. My god.....that Hermione has more energy and balls than all of them put together. It's good to see girl power put to such good use. Also thoroughly enjoyed the last chapter. I mean how erotic was that! I got into trouble at the dinner party table one night when I declared that any man who could say the words "Digital sound processor" and have a woman creaming her knickers was very special indeed! | I love your description of Severus' voice. It is so perfect. The way Hermione described it, I could see his voice in my head, I don't know how to explain it, but it was amazing!
Severus still has quite a hangup about Lily. I wonder if some of his feelings for Hermione stem from those that he had from Lily and if they will get all tangled... Describing his voice as chocolate, so right. I'm glad he realized that he was under the influence of the Dark Caress and things didn't move too quickly. | They really got lost in their 'acting', didn't they? I love how Severus knows that although he doesn't have the looks, he has the voice. And oh, how Dumbledore makes me angry! He acts like there is no danger whatsoever involved with Severus going to meet with Voldemort. And the game Hermione and Severus have to 'play' is completely normal. He needs to have a nice hard slap across the face and a talking to. It's a good thing Severus is a quick thinker, or else the Malfoy boys' tricks could get him into a lot of trouble. | In her dream, he said the same words to her that he said to himself while being Crucio'd. Is this a happy coincidence, or is there some mind-manipulation going on? I am honestly surprised that Dumbledore is on board for Severus' plan. I would have never thought he would give the okay, but I'm sure he is blinded by what he considers the Greater Good. It is hard to believe that Dumbledore doesn't have faith that Hermione's story of Siruis' advances are unwelcome, but again, I'm sure he has the blinders on. I'm happy that Severus decided to tell Hermione the truth. I think he is going to gain her trust quickly if he keeps up his actions. Author's Response: Lots going on... | |||

| I'm glad you showed what happens after the Cruciatus. I have always imagined that there would be some kind of physical reaction to it after the curse was lifted, yet most don't imply anything of the sort in their stories. I love how we are able to see how he wants to tell Hermione to stop helping him, but he doesn't want her to. The internal battle he has within him is so great. (Great as in big, not awesome.) I can't believe Severus would bring Hermione into the picture. He better have some tricks up his sleeves to pull this off.
Uugghhh, Sirius gives me the heeby jeebies. Your characterization of him is exactly what a sexual predator is like. Flattering them, advancing on them and then turning it all back on them when they shoot him down.
And Hermione waking up with the room back in order and covered, it shows that Severus isn't the heartless bastard that everyone thinks he is, and I think that is going to help him with Hermione. Author's Response: I've had a lot of people mention this, regarding the Cruciatus curse. I think others have written about it, but I really wanted to explore the mental and physical side effects of it. It just struck me that if it could destroy the Longbottoms' minds, it could easily destroy the body as well. | |||

| I have never been one to like Sirius' character too much. I have always thought he had the 'creeper' factor going on about him and I'm glad I've found a fic that shows that side of him. Severus helping Hermione and then turning around to put the blame on her when he knows it isn't is very true to canon. I think it's fantastic. Author's Response: Thank you!
