| I was excited to see that you came back to this fic...and once I read it, I wasn't dissappointed in the least. I've always thought canon-AD was evil for what he did to Snape, and was glad to see this portrayed in this story as well. And unlike JKR's version, I'm happy that Snape has HG and Poppy. Can't wait for the next chapter! Author's Response: Thank you so much - I can't tell you how wonderful everyone has been - so patient with me! | I wish Dumbledore could be brought back to life, so that Severus could kill him this time ! Damn him to the deepest pits of Hell. At least someone was smart enough to figure out the truth. | Poppy! God bless her! She's the mother they both so desperately need just at the right time! But Albus...I'd like to throw turpentine on him! Author's Response: Albus was a manipulative man, who toyed with Severus' psyche so much I really don't think a human could have withstood that kind of brainwashing. Not my favourite character at all, but I've always had a soft spot for Poppy. I think she alone would have witnessed a lot of the torture Severus went through, even though he was an abrastive person, no doubt. | |||

| Love this story so much! I think you do a marvelous job getting us into Severus's head, how trapped and isolated he feels (no wonder he's holding tight to Hermione) and the exquisite relief of having Poppy know. And not just know, but figure it out for herself, based on her actually understanding and feeling friendship for Severus. Just really good writing - it makes me hurt for both of them and hold on to the hope that Hermione expresses. Author's Response: Thank you so much - your comment just made my heart soar. | Thank you so much for the update. I cried at the end, when you gave them Poppy. It makes canon even worse, reading this, to think of Severus Snape all alone. I like your version so much more! Author's Response: Thank you so much for your comment. I cannot imagine what this man went through during those dark days alone. It is horrific enough knowing that there is someone who loves you, but JKR left him to writhe at the end of that rope all by himself. I'm really glad you liked the chapter. | |||

| So happy to see an update. Excellent story and well thought out. Hermione is absolutely right, Harry will make sure the world holds her completely accountable and her and Severus will be in for a very rough ride. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your muse doesn't desert you because I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the endgame to come. Author's Response: Thank you so much! My Muse is a lovely creature, and while he doesn't desert me, sometimes I can't connect with him as well as at other times.
