| I LOVE this fic! You have written Sirius as the way sexual predators are. They groom and deceive their prey into believing that they led them on and blur the boundaries. And what is worse, is that the victim does feel flattered in a way for the attention - especially someone like Hermione, who is starved for that kind of attention from a member of the opposite sex. She is a growing girl in the blush of puberty and desires and feelings about sex are normal and Sirius is using what is good and perverting it. I WISH people would teach girls about the mind games predators like Sirius play. Then more rapes, molestations and incest would be reported and girls and women would not feel so ashamed about something that wasn't even their fault. I am really taking this to heart, I know, but you write so knowledgeably, and I love how you have Severus being the defender but STILL in character. Severus is a chivalrous man underneath all his harshness and cruelty towards his students in the classroom. I could FEEL the safety Hermione felt with him as she cared for him. It makes me wish I had some man or boy in my life who cared when I was young. They all knew, and no one cared. Thank you for writing such a deep and sensitive story so well!

| Ah, I wonder why Dolohov would try to kill Severus. Maybe he was under Lucius's orders to get him out of the picture. Voldemort will have the final word on this, I'm sure. He'll be in a very, very bad mood. Hopefully, you'll spare Severus this time. It's about time he gets a break from torture. If this continues to follow the HBP, will Hermione stay at Hogwarts or leave with Severus when Dumbledore is killed? | This is riveting - they're wearing so many masks, playing so many games, it's amazing that they can keep it all straight. I like how Hermione just goes quiet with Harry; that feels right.
