| That was a very creative idea for restoring Hermione's soul. I'm glad that everything seems back to normal between Severus and Hermione (or as "normal" as they can manage under the circumstances)... | So Hermione had agreed to kill Dumbledore the day he gave her the bag of Galleons as a blessing for their marriage? I always did wonder what all that "insurance" talk was about. Author's Response: Yes, they had made lots of deals that day! But Hermione couldn't allow Severus to do it. That was one bridge too far, in my opinion, and I hated Dumbledore ever after I found out what he'd forced Severus to do. | |||

| WOW! This was - without a doubt - the most emotionally intense chapter in the story. Even after I finished reading it, my mind is still reeling from all of the revelations - Harry learning about Hermione's relationship with Severus, Albus playing "hard ball" with Severus and Hermione to get what he wants, Harry arguing with Hermione, Albus pleading for Severus's forgiveness before his death, Severus realizing that the deadly potion Albus is going to drink was created by him, and then, the biggest stunner, that Hermione killed Dumbledore! I was SO not expecting that surprise, but it makes so much sense. I am on tenterhooks in anticipation of what will happen next. Although I am sad that Hermione has cast an Unforgivable, I like the fact that she has done the one thing that might finally convince Severus of her deep love for him. | The "behind the scenes" glimpses that you're giving us regarding the conversations between Albus and Severus are most enlightening. Whereas the readers had to imagine Snape's mental state while reading HBP and DH, you have given us a captivating peek into what those discussions and his thoughts might have actually been. This Snape-centric point of view only makes me sadder for his character; no wonder he was so cross throughout the school years, knowing what was in store for him. My only hope for this story is that you give Snape a happy ending. Author's Response: This story has taken on a life of its own. When I started, I had no idea what direction it would take. Now that I'm almost at the end, I have a better idea, but I don't want to give away anything yet. I will say that I'm not the sort of reader who is very happy to read this many chapters and go away unhappy about it. I hope that helps! ;) | |||

| I really liked how you inserted Hermione in the canon Sectumsempra scene with Harry and Draco. She was very clever to use that opportunity for Severus's and her advantage in their grand plot of deception. I am just so taken with your depiction of tender, loving Severus - he is so sensual and erotic. The last scene of the chapter was perfect. :) Author's Response: Thank you so much! | I love how Severus's scars are continuously fading; that is such a special plot point that signifies his personal development leading him farther from the Dark and toward the Light.
