This chapter was nerve wracking , tense and wonderful. The last paragraph has me totally stressed out. I hope Severus and Hermione have a a couple of more Ace's up their sleeves.

Author's Response: I hope they do, too. But the odds aren't looking good...

GAH!!! Cliffhangers!! You're just piling them on this week aren't cha, Teddy?? Lol this is fantastic!! I can't wait for the next chapter!!

Author's Response: Thank you, so much, Half-Blood. Yes, this was my week for cliffies, wasn't it?

The "I'm not a monster, girl" comment was wonderful. I love your Ron. He's a good young man. Now you've made me feel ill. I hate the Carrows. I hope that both Severus and Hermione giving Ron instructions "just in case" for the future is not foreshadowing some kind of tragedy. Don't do that to me, Teddy!! Seriously, though, this chapter was amazing... just like the rest of the story.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I hope to be able to bring all the loose ends together, but we shall see.

An intelligent Ron makes a nice change from canon and most fics. What a rollercoaster ride this chapter was. And then just when you thought it was safe - The Carrows.

Author's Response: I've always had trouble giving Ron a 'voice' in my fics. I hope I succeeded in this one.

Teddy, you're killing me here. Weeping and nauseous killing me. It's a good thing you take a while between chapters, because we need the time to get over the last one! I usually wait for a story to be completely posted, when I can, because I like to read it all in one sitting, but I honestly have to say that this is the first one I've read that is so freaking intense and frightening and emotional that I don't think I *could* read it at once. I'll try, when it's all done, because it's great to go back and see bits I may have missed or clues I might not have picked up on, but man I'm pretty sure I'll need to have a lie down every couple of chapters. What's that Ron quote? You're brilliant--scary, but brilliant.

Author's Response: Wow, being compared to Hermione - what a compliment! Seriously, thank you for the wonderful comment. This is the longest story I've ever written, including my two original stories, and it is very tough when you are trying to keep the momentum going. I hope you will continue to enjoy it right up to the end. We're not too far from it, but it's pretty frightening and emotionally intense for me, too! Thank you so much.

That was a lot of drama for one chapter - and the clincher was the very last lines! Ooh, that gave me a stomach cramp reading that! Too much adrenaline, I say.

Author's Response: Well, what sort of author would I be if I didn't make you sick to your stomach? LOL Seriously, thank you for the comment. I was a little worried that this chapter would be a bit boring.

Oh Teddy, this story is still the most bittersweet, heartwrenching, beautiful piece of angst on Ashwinder. As much as I felt that Hermione was the unsung hero of DH, you’ve made her even more of a warrior here, with her having to remain strong in the face of the misguided hate of those she cares for. I’m glad Severus has her by his side, though in some ways it’s worse for him to have her at Hogwarts and having to worry about her safety at every turn. Thank God Poppy at least has a brain.

Author's Response: Thank you, Kelly, for such a lovely comment. As things come to a head, I find the story's pain harder and harder to bear. I know it will get worse before it gets better, but I am glad I am able to convey the heaviness of the moment.

Hi Teddy...back in bloody freezing Blighty. But omg.....how wonderful that the lovely Poppy has seen the truth. She'd definitely be a fantastic ally to have. So good to have you updating this story. But now I have to fly as one of my favourite writers has just added about 4 chapters to a new story. Best wishes, a slightly jet-lagged Ali xxxxx.

Author's Response: Glad you had a safe trip back. The next chapter is almost done, and I hope to get it up in the next week. Welcome back to the snow!
