The scene between Reg and Severus is beautiful but it was the last scene with Luna that brought me to tears on how respect and tenderness she felt toward Severus's body and himself. There's an awful lot of info to process: Severus was dead, but he's alive, and he was a horcrux, but he isn't any more, and the prophecy was about Severus and Harry and Neville ... Whew ! Your stories have a tendency to make me have to stop, walk away from the computer (have a smoke), receive not just a few odd looks from my family and return to do it all over again. I love, love, LOVE that it was Reg and not that damned Lily. The scenes with the two men were so moving. My stomach swooped when Reg took all of Severus' s scars and the Mark away. Even knowing (or strongly believing) that he was coming back to her, I got all weepy with Hermione. Oh, and I NEVER would have guessed (way back then) that the Dark Caress was anything but.
