| I love the scene where Hermione and Severus are vowing to fight alongside each other and protect one another. As a reader, I can really feel the emotion coming through. Ooohh!! How Dumbledore makes me so angry! He has his blinders on towards everything that doesn't have to do with Harry directly. The fact that he doesn't show any concern for Hermione's state of well-being, and then blaming Severus for it. Claiming that he wasn't trying to hurt Severus, but continuing to say it knowing full well that it would. "...I’m going to be the best-laid man in Wizarding Britain.” Why would he limit himself just to the wizarding community? He will be the best-laid man period! I'm happy that Severus is admitting to someone else his feelings for Hermione, despite the fact that his response was provoked out of him my Dumbledore. I'm happy to see his progression! How, in such a short amount of time, are they used to the fact that they will be married? I took me at least a couple weeks to wrap my head around the fact when I was engaged! Maybe it's the fact that being in mortal danger brings everything into perspective easier and clearer. I love how Keown was able to pick up on them knowing their love was precious and that life is too short. Although it is a tender moment, you are still able to see the gravity of the situation around them and how their feelings are projected onto others. And I love, love, love your description of Severus' voice! It is so perfect! I'm glad you put in Hermione's normal moment of being afraid of not pleasing Severus. It shows that although she puts up a front of confidence and is intelligent, she is still fearful about unknown experiences. I can understand her fear of Voldemort, but she seemed so confident earlier about having sex that it was nice to be shown that she is still scared, but still able to show how courageous she is! Although I was hoping for lemon-y goodness, this chapter was extremely satisfying! It was definitely worth the wait, and I am so glad you were able to finish this "Constipation Chapter". I have said it before, I am a review whore par excellence, but the best ones are not only the ones who tell you they enjoy a chapter, but why, and you always do that so well. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've been pleasantly shocked at the reception of this chapter. I hope the next one will make up for the lack of lemons, as it's almost 100% of the RDA of Vitamin C! | |||

| The last few paragraphs of this chapter had me at my computer screen grinning like an utter fool, and i couldn't be happier. lol for some reason the entire wedding scene just makes me ridiculously happy and i'm eagerly waiting for the next chapter. it should be one hell of a wedding night! lol can't wait for the next update! try not to tease us too much lol seeing all of the updates on your other stories was pure torture (the wonderful kind of torture, of course ;] lol ) Author's Response: I'm sorry, Half Blood, I didn't mean to be such a tease ;) To be perfectly honest, this was a very tough chapter, and if my beta hadn't been such a trooper, I'd probably still be working on it! I'm tickled pink to be able to put a smile on your face. Chapter 18 is currently with my wonderful beta, and as soon as she has her wicked way with it (and I do let her take off her shoes and run straight through it!) I'll get it posted. Hopefully, the next updates won't be too far behind. Things will be picking up pace around chapter 19 or so...I don't want to rewrite the entire story, but there are just some things that can't be missed. | |||

| I am so glad that you have not abandoned this story - but with your other writings I was hopefully optomistic that you had not.
I have been Lay Me Low from the first posting and I just wanted you to know that it is a rare written story that makes me cry - but you did with this one. You have beautifully if not poignantly described Snape in such a way that really delves into the damage that he has endured, not just physically (although that is extreme) but also mentally and emotionally.
His story makes me think of all the mistakes that I have made in my life, and people that I have let down. Yet I have never had the guilt held over me like your Snape has had to endure.
I guess it is the 'realness' of that which keeps me eagerly waiting for the next chapter. Not that want to see Snape or Hermione suffer any more, but just that I like reading a well written story. Author's Response: I apologise for the delay - I haven't abandoned the story, nor will I. Real Life and other things sort of got in the way, but LML is back on track. Thank you for your moving review. It is for reviewers like you that I really want this story to shine, and that's why it's sometimes difficult. I, too, have made many mistakes, and have had the chance to live and learn from them, and I think Severus, of all people, deserves that chance. Heaven knows, JKR didn't give him a chance; it's up to us fangirls to give it to him. Thank you again. | |||

| I never know what to write in reviews because it just comes out as silly gushing. I love this story and this chapter made me swoon. Author's Response: You did pretty well to me! Thank you so much. I will be updating a little more consistently. This chapter was very difficult, but hopefully the worst is behind me. | |||

| Gods, such a beautifully written story... I bets that Mione is going to be with child quiet soon. I love Mione and Sev.
Thank you for another amazing story. Let no harm come to these two could have been lovers.
I find it cruel that JKR used Sev so easily and didnt even give him a death worthy of him.
