Very clever to make Hermione experienced in acting. A nice bit of foreshadowing for what is to come. Author's Response: Thank you! You've made me all weepy again (I'd proudly let you call me Snivellus), but this time in a good way. That was a very subdued, yet very intense chapter. The Lily horcrux crap had me on edge, but the meeting was touching and fun. I love, love, love that Harry and Severus are making peace with each other. Thank you for your encouragement and support. hsaoe 2012.06.11 - 06:20AM 3: Two: From The Waiting To Hear Signed One of my favorite sections of this chapter is the "Oh God, it hurts" paragraph. The emotion it brings forth just hits me every time I read it. I'm fascinated with the internal turmoil of Snape's emotions and morality. He's all over the map here and it just makes for an interesting read. I also like the contrast of Sirius vs. Severus. I can't imagine this Sirius having any sort of moral tug o' war with his "interest" in Hermione. And that just makes me fall more for this Severus even if some of his inner dialogue is a bit eye brow raising. Author's Response: I think what makes Severus Snape such a fascinating character for me is that inner turmoil and passion he has. This is a man who carried a torch for a dead woman for 20 years, who fueled it with love and hatred and ambition and remorse, and who(in this story) found the possibility to love someone else and it's scaring the crap out of him! He's going to try to talk himself out of being worthy of it, I think.
