| Okay, Teddy, I really, really, REALLY love your stories... but fucking hell!!!! I was cursing (the profane kind) you and this story and everything through heavy sobs when they landed at Shell Cottage. I will have to go back and re-read the end. I was too distraught for it to really register properly. (I am not upset with you and I absolutely adore this story... you are amazing and have brought me to tears of fear and loss... redeem yourself, honey!! | Tears in my eyes, especially as Hermione asks Bill to carry Severus carefully. Very sad! And your description of cruciatus is harrowing. Really good, but dreadfully sad chapter. I commend your skills while I go search for a kleenex. Author's Response: Thank you so much.I think the Cruciatus curse is simply awful, and my beta actually asked me to tone down my original descriptions - she thought I was getting too graphic! | I should apologise - I've read this story through from the beginning and, despite it being full of moments worthy of praise, this is the first time I've reviewed.
This story - ack! - this story is phenomenal. The interweaving with canon is ridiculously clever; there are enough similarities to make you dread certain events (Dumbledore's death, Hermione's suffering at the hands of Bellatrix, etc) but diverge so wildly that they become completely your own.
I'm honestly in awe. I mean, I love your other work (and promise to review eventually . . .), but this is just something else entirely.
This chapter was rather difficult to read. Brilliant of course, but so emotionally resonant that I could feel myself getting too caught up in their argument. I'm almost glad that Hermione was abducted as it means that Snape will be forced to recognise just how destructive his attitude is.
I understand that you take time to craft each chapter, but I really hope that the next chapter is ready soon. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful story. x
Author's Response: Thank you so much for so many things. First, for friending me, and secondly for such an encouraging, uplifting comment. As this story has evolved beyond anything I'd ever planned, I have grown more and more worried that it was getting out of hand. This was a very difficult chapter to write (my beta Jules wrote a comment in the margins along the line of "asldkfjdalskfjdaj JEEZ that was painful!" But I felt that something had to give, and unfortunately it was their tempers. The next chapter is in the queue, and I hope you will enjoy it, but I will warn you it's not easy. Another hard chapter to write, but I hope it will move the story as it should. Thank you again for encouragement and support - it means more to me than I can ever say. | |||

| Excellent chapter!!! I can almost feel the strength of the bond between the two of them growing as I type. This was such a devastating experience made all the more bearable by leaning on each other and slowly expressing their love. This is my last chapter for today. | Sad, sad chapter. Poppy really does a bead on things, doesn't she? Poor Minerva has to be completely bewildered, though. And my heart just goes out to Hermione. She's had so much to deal with the last months and now the devastation of losing her folks is just too terrible for words. | None of this is good news for any of them. Why was Lucius and company given free reign and Severus excluded? Lucius showboating or Dark Lord desire? I'm very glad that Hermione was not assaulted by Sirius. I'm also very glad that he fell into the veil. Excellent chapter!!! :D Author's Response: Sirius isn't one of my favorite characters.
