jaded debauched priest...LOL!!!!

Author's Response: Another gem from Sempra, who went to a catholic school and said they were taught by a real 'Severus' priest (black hair, pale skin, dark eyes) and all the girls had a huge crush on him!

Author's Response: The great and wonderful Sempraseverus (who is a dear, precious friend of mine, drew the most incredible artwork for this moment in the story - you can find it here: http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=§ion=&global=1&q=teddyradiator#/d39v97f

I bow to your knowledge!! Being a yank what do I know! ; ) I love the word and the endearment! Wish I had someone in my life that spoke to me in such a sexy accent!!! All I have here is the Texas drawl or twang as we say!! Cheers-Dee

Author's Response: LOL Nothing wrong with a good old Texas twang - and yes, Northern England men do drawl and they sound very nice sometimes doing it ;) I'm a Southern girl myself, but the Hubs is British, and I lived there for 10 years, so I got to hear some very gorgeous accents all around me! To hear what Mr. Rickman should have sounded like as Snape, watch his film "Blow Dry" in which he does a Yorkshire accent, which is fairly close to a Manc accent - even my 18 year old stepdaughter thought he sounded hot! also, spot Mr. Filch in the film as well!

I really love your writing I hope you know that, and I am really not one to leave a negative review, but the use of the word "lass" is a little too used here. I am not sure if Snape would have used the word anyhow...his vocabulary and the word simply do not match(also his accent comes into play in this to). Other than that I love the story!!!

Author's Response: Well, actually, being originally from Spinner's End, Manchester, Severus may well have used 'Lass' as it is used quite frequently in that part of England. It is actually a Northern form of endearment as well. I actually have him use it because when I lived in the UK, a gentlemen I knew from Manchester called me that. Having said that, I have tended t overuse it in the early chapters and relax that as Severus and Hermione's relationship in this fic has evolved, so it doesn't crop up in later chapters so much. But we have to remember, Severus is a boy-made-good from the very wrong side of the Northern tracks in England, and would probably still have the vestiges of his Mancunian accent. As much as I worship Alan Rickman, they really should have let him use his magnificent voice with a more regional 'twang' to it. Being from Northern England, spending his formative years in Scotland, he probably would still have a bit of his accent, IMHO. I really appreciate your encouraging words and I hope you continue to enjoy the story - and please don't worry about the concrit - I realise that I should have used it less, so I think they get used a lot less often now!

I really love the passage, " He started this mess out of desperation and torture..." The whole passage is worded wonderfully!!

Author's Response: Thank you - this is my WIP and it has been a journey - the only canon!fic I've ever done, and probably my last - it's been the hardest one so far! I'm so glad you are enjoying it - Chapter 20 is in the queue to be posted soon.
