| What an emotionally charged chapter. I'm heart broken and beside. I was crying when Hermione was claiming even in death that Severus was her's and to demand that Bill carry him gently, was so powerful. I still have hope though and I want to see I have a good guess as to who Severus meets up with. Author's Response: Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed it. | I balled my eyes out each time I read this chapter. OMG! So emotionally powerful. So painful. What a cliffhanger. Are you serious? I don't know how I'm going to make it until your next update. | Oh.
I thought that the last chapter left me in emotional turmoil, but this one has me reeling. It's rare that any story captures me enough to make me cry, but Hermione's words to Bill on the beach have me sobbing! Thank goodness you chose to end with Severus' desertscape and the knowledge that he isn't completely gone, else I'd probably go to pieces.
I'm glad Minerva knows the truth. Whatever the outcome - and I'm really hoping you have a happy ending planned - then at least their sacrifices will be known.

| So...is that Lily coming toward Severus on that afterlife beach? What a hell of a chapter! I had tears in my eyes, too, from Hermione's loss of Severus; her cautioning Bill to carry him gently because he'd had so little of it in his life was so sad, so true. I also liked the strong way she spoke to her fellow Gryffindors, telling them Snape was a hero no matter how badly they had spoken of him. Quite a strong chapter indeed, Teddy! Now I'm going to ask your indulgence. There are two words that aren't quite right. In the paragraph which begins "Bellatrix was having none of that", the third sentence in needs "illicit" to be changed to "elicit". The other is "corpulence", which means "obesity"; I don't think that's quite what you meant. Otherwise, it was a perfect chapter. Well, except for Severus dying!!! What's supposed to happen after THAT?! (Pulls herself together; tries to remember that Harry died in DH, after all, and HE was able to come back. Then remembers that Dobby died in DH, too--and he DIDN'T!) Oh, you terrible person--leaving us chewing our fingernails damn near up to our elbows while we wait to find out what happens next! Seriously? Thanks for ALL of your hard work--this is one of the best stories out, and not just here at Ashwinder. Author's Response: Yes, no metaphor is safe with me when I'm on a roll.
