The last 2 paragraph definitely fit in with someone who has an obsession with someone. Good job showing how obsession is dark.

Author's Response: It can most certainly be so...

How beautiful, how angst filled, how DESPERATE. All I can do is keep reading and hope that there IS a light at the end of their tunnel.

Author's Response: It will get darker before it gets better, so I can't say... :)

Being secretive is so ingrained in Severus that even though he is waking up next to his wife, he still wakes up without change to his breathing or movement. It is so sad to think about what has brought on this behavior and why it was so vital all these years. I love how Hermione approaches sex the same way she would approach her studies. And Severus using his "Professor" voice... Gives me chills just thinking about it! And his scars are healing!!! This shows that the love and experiences that he shares with Hermione are not only healing him on the inside, but physically, too. You are really able to sense the fear that Narcissa has in not only Voldemort, but I believe also Bellatrix. It is so sad to know that Severus has already made up his mind about Hermione's death. It does show how deep he is concerning his love for her.

Author's Response: Thank you, Pink. This was a chapter that I fretted and fretted over, and My AMAZING beta got me straightened out in two days, so I owe stgulik a HUGE note of thanks for that. I'm so happy you enjoyed it.

Oh God, Teddy. That was so poignant and yet so sexy. I'm not sure I liked the implication that us Northern Birds (even when adopted) are easy but if there was a Severus living in my area I may have been happy to forego my virtue. Yes, yes I know it went a hell of a long time ago. Tee hee! Just a perfect chapter but now they've got to go back to Hogwarts and "reality". I should imagine that will be very difficult. Right Oh.......off to Coniston in the Lake District for a week but looking forward to an update when I get back. Best wishes and Happy Easter, Love Ali xxxx.

Author's Response: Ali, I would never impugn your virtue!!! LOL I hope no one else thinks I'm saying Spinner's End girls are easy!! Glad you liked the chapter.

How heartbreaking! Hermione's trying to have hope for both of them, but it's not enough to chase the ominous feelings away.

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it.

God. You just...My heart is in my throat, and you made me cry when he said he didn't want to go back and be the man he has to be at the school. Just....gah. You are so talented, thank you so very much for this story.

Author's Response: Thank you very, very much. At this time in my life, I needed to hear those words.

I'm damned near speechless, Teddy. Everything about this chapter is beautiful. From knowledge to innocence and back again, I loved how Severus and Hermione learned each other, how they created a new and more powerful magic that combined their courage and devotion to each other, and I think anyone who would try to hurt either of them will find that this soul magic is too powerful to be overcome. Well done! Beth

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Beth! This was a tough chapter, and one that has been written almost since chapter 1, but thankfully I have a beta who rocks and isn't afraid to tell me what needs to be pruned from the branches! I think she's the reason this chapter is so good.
