Now THAT is too reminiscent of Bellatrix' kind of feelings. So performing an AK gives one such a nearly sexual thrill that one is truly in danger of falling prey to it? And then to find it was Dumbledore's "insurance" from Hermione?! And now the muck-up between Severus and Hermione bez he had to go to Voldemort first, and was so disgusted he couldn't even tell Hermione "no" to her question of him hating her?! Too much going on! Seriously though, you have written this very well; thank you for all of your work. Author's Response: Thank you so much. This was a hard chapter to write. I think Hermione's lack of emotion and the feeling of isolation is mirrored in Severus in a completely opposite way. But I think Dark magic must be seductive; otherwise, so many witches and wizards wouldn't fall prey to it. I wanted it to sound sensuous and arousing, to show how it can seduce a person in the first place, and I'm glad you read it that way. | |||

| Well, THAT wasn't a twist I was expecting to read! Jeez! NOW what?! I had tears over Hermione's pain, Severus'--and now this!! I'm so glad the next chapter's here, bez I don't know if I could survive having to wait past this one! Author's Response: I'm afraid I'm not in the 'loveable old Dumbledore' camp. I think it was shameful the way he used love and guilt to get both Severus and Harry to do his bidding. | |||

| Just an amazing chapter: magic can be so hard to write well about, and you create this incredible dream landscape for Severus and Hermione to walk through and heal each other. I love that Severus has realizations of his own through the process of healing - he doesn't just heal her, they help each other. Author's Response: Thank you, linn.
