| I love this Poppy, how she's the unexpected ally just when needed. I like the idea that she has always been there for Severus, whether there were potions class accidents or injuries of a more sinister nature. Who is comforting who is a very apt question. :) Author's Response: Thank you! Poppy is one of my favourite characters, and I love writing her into the stories every chance I get. | When I saw how you were slightly changing the events of the night of the Dept of Mysteries fight, I was hoping that Sirius would survive to face up to his crimes against Hermione. Now that he's dead, how can she ever make Harry realize what a brute he was? >.<
Loved the bit about adding 'essence of Severus' to the potion for efficacy, and can imagine Ginny's eyes bugging out of her head before hearing the explanation... but no doubt she'll report that bit to the others.
And... I'm glad you asked that final question - I was too eager to read Hermione's fate to realize that she had blocked the curse from a death eater meant for Severus! Author's Response: I really gave serious (Sirius?) thought to whether or not to save him. In fact, until chapter 32 or so, I had him in the back of my mind as returning to the story, but DMuse had other plans, and well, he has to be obeyed. But yes, he almost faked his death, and no, in the end, he's really dead. | |||

| I was on my feet, applauding Severus' speech to Dumbledore!! WOOOT!!! I have never heard anyone tell him off so supremely, so righteously, and the threat of him just grabbing Hermione and taking her away where no one will ever find them, ... Wow! Severus rocked my world! (I still want to kick sense into Harry's stupid head) :D Author's Response: Thank you so much! You must feel about Dumbles like I do - that he used everyone around him in the name of his 'greater good', but wasn't big on counting the cost. | |||

Sirius is such an idiot. He's about to get hoist on his own petard, if Hermione's going to have any say about it. Stupid worm - after that incredible, hard, meaningful afternoon S&H just spent together he finds a way to muck it up completely. I hope he receives his comeuppance, and soon! Gah! I want to say something more in the review about their time together, all the revelations, but have a horrible Sirius-taste in my mouth! Author's Response: I don't really know why I felt so negatively about Sirius Black in this story, but for some reason my usually gentle Muse had a bad thing against him. | Rut roh. I'm a little worried that when Hermione puts her hand on his chest, it's either cementing them together stronger, or it's causing him more pain when she removes her hand. And in either case, Albus knows what's going on and still refuses to be of any help. *grumbles about hypocritical prejudicial headmasters* Author's Response: Rut roh - I've been giggling iike mad every time I see this! Seriously, I hated the way Dumbledore used Severus. Some of the thing he said to him in DH was bordering on abusive. I was glad for Severus to get a little of his own back. | |||
