| I like how you brought the politics of the magical world into the limelight in this one...kind of a reminder of what could be going on behind the scenes, I can definitely see something like this actually going on in the background of the books...every little impression and mention mattering to *somebody*. | Taking notes as I read this time: 'something fierce' is american slang and is pretty out of context when describing Hermione. It's typically associated with the gang culture, where I'm from.I love how the professors are so comfortable with one another and I particularly have a soft spot for Hooch’s easygoing attitude. Severus can't even curb his instincts to nose around in other people's business, how cute! I'm glad that he was willing to come out with what Hermione wanted to know and I appreciate that you showed the pain he felt in her lack of trust in their relationship. That was a very nice touch that most authors leave out for some reason. As for yon lime: truth be told, I prefer limes to lemons but I was irritated with Severus. He's offended by menstrual blood? The man chops up the eyes, intestines, tongue, fingers, toes, and other bits of creatures; Severus was also a deatheater, a teacher of a subject that results in frequent student injuries, and he fought in the final battle, yet the man cannot deal with menstrual blood? I find that odd, and if not odd, I find it rather pathetic of Severus. Maybe I'm just weird but I get very irritated by men being disgusted by menstruation. Wusses. Aside from that, it was a lovely chapter and I thoroughly enjoyed it as I thoroughly enjoy all of your work. I look forward to the next update with glee. All the best.

PS: I confess to hoping that she had morning sickness even though I knew that she was on a contraceptive potion. Damn that Severus for being responsible! Author's Response: no no. he wasn't offended by menstrual blood. he hinted around after that he wanted to be inside of her, but as she didnt catch on. she only said, oh me too. but next chap..hehe.. you'll see he won't take no for an answer. i think he just didn't want to 'shock' her lol Something fierce? gang culture? i'm from the usa as well, and i've never heard of it that way. "Her stomach was rumbling something fierce." Forgive my americanization. didn't realize brits didn't use this.
