| You always amaze me, my dear. You had me there for a moment, I was about to go slit my own wrists after reading that Severus was kneeling on the floor a broken man. I have just come to love each of these characters so much through your writing that I wonder how I'll ever manage to let go of the story after you write the sequel. I like the idea of there being two Snape-lings but I can see that Severus would rather be castrated without anasthetic than to lose Hermione. Lucius seems to be developing nicely and I'm excited to see how things play out with him in the sequel. Ginny was quite the conniving bitch but love does make people stupid, so I suppose she gets to be forgiven. I worry about Bella and the threat she poses. I like her and I too pity her but I'm always waiting for her to turn around and kill Ginny. As for Harry, I have no idea what's going to happen now. I don't even have a guess to wager. All I can think is that he has just sacrificed a huge part of himself to do this and has fully come into his powers, the implications that may have are really quite frightening. Oh, sod it, I'm scared for everyone. Everyone stands to lose someone with all of this going on and the odds that they all come out alive are not good. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I particularly loved your portrayal of Snape and his irritatingly smug but somehow lovably abrassive personality. Everyone's on thin ice now, emotionally speaking, and where you take them from here is anyone's guess, but I guarantee that I'll be there every step of the way to sit in my comfy chair and get a big grin on my face each time you update. Until then, I wish you all of the best and give you my profound thanks for choosing to share your talents.
-cO Author's Response: Oh!! Thanks so much, doll. I'm glad you've found the time to read this for me! yay! I've come to love all of my characters as well. sigh! Lucius turned out to be much more of a character than I intended. I'm glad that he worked out the way that the did. I have great plans for the next story. :) Bella is okay so far, but I wouldn't trust her completely around Ginny just yet. As far as Gin, yes, she was a little berk, wasn't she? I think though that if Harry can become friendly with Bella, then he can forgive his lover. What happens though remains to be seen. Thanks for sticking around with me for so long! | I loved this story - It was well worth reading all 50 chapters. I'm looking forward to the sequel and what will happen with Viktor and how Hermione is affected by her near-death. Fabulous work! Viktor will be one of the main characters though I must say he's not very pleasant to most except for Hermione and his child. Hermione has been affected by her experience. | From a literary point of view, your story doesn't really end... in fact it seems more like a 'first-parter' than a stand-alone story. If you do want it to be stand-alone then it desperately needs an epilogue because it's odd to end the story without a denouement especially given the type of story this is. I think it would work the best (if you want to end the story without an epilogue to call this the 'first part' or whatever.
As for Harry - this is the only fic that ever made me reaaaaally not like him - I assume that you did this for a reason, but he is tres creepy, no? I think the whole Ginny/Harry relationship is utterly disfunctional (I think the relationship needs to go somewhere - either they both need to grow up or the relationship needs to break up - I hope you deal with their 'disfunctionalness' in the next book.
I really enjoyed this read, and I'm impressed at how much you did with this story. Keep up the good work (and pleeease do something about Harry and Ginny - they give me a super icky feeling! Author's Response: Thanks! It is like a first part to me. There is so much more i wanted to put, but I figured that I might as well wait for the next bit! I think I'll have an epilogue just for a small bit of closure, in case some don't read the second. Harry's actions have a lot to do with the sequel. Ginny and Harry will have issues, and for a while it will seem like all is well. I don't see them lasting. Thanks for reading, and I'm glad that you've left a review for me. | Oh my God...you (almost) killed Hermione...YOU BASTARD! Well, does the fact that Harry marked Hermione have a factor on him being able to bring her back? I would like a little clarification on that in the epilogue...or is that something for the sequel? I can't believe Ginny did something so stupid as purposefully get herself knocked up. (GROAN!) Some girls have no clue...I won't EVEN go there. It's just too painful, like watching a train wreck to watch what Ginny did. (Puts hands in face, sighs, groans again, shakes head.) Ginny is so lucky Harry wants a family so badly he put up with that sort of stupid trick. On to more pleasant things. Daddy!Severus and Mommy!Hermione. I'm so glad that Harry was able to save her. Now that Hermione has been to the edge of The Veil, will she have an Inner Eye? Will she know things, see things, have an enlightenment that borders on divination? It sounds like this story is only half way done and the other half will center on Hermione and Severus' child and Harry and Ginny's child. It's like the end of Empire Strikes Back where Lando and Chewy go off to save Han, and Luke and Leia are watching hyperjump away. I'm also curious to see what of Viktor we will see in the epilogue and what we'll have to wait to learn in the sequel. It's been a great story and I'm sad to see it end as well. Maybe after finishing this one and before you start the sequel, you could throw in some one-shots of Daddy!Severus changing diapers, dealing with Lillian grabbing a fistfull of poo while he cleans up her poopy butt, white baby spit up all down the back of hs black robes (and he doesn't know it), a baby toy in his pocket he sits on and squeaks, all the little things that will chip away at his "dignity" as a hard-nosed professor and soften him up a bit in everyone's eyes. Well, waiting with baited breath for the epilogue and I know I'll be begging for the sequel soon. Great fic, dear! But you know how much I love this fic anyway. Author's Response: Evil Southern lol Ginny was very stupid. I had a friend that purposely did that to keep her husband. I mean, wow. That's really desperate! You are right. Harry was more than honorable. lol Hermione's near trip does have a bit of a side-effect, but I'll be saving that for the sequel. I can say that Viktor has less than honorable plans for her. The story will focus a lot on the two kids and the new Dark Lord. But mostly their parents as well. I have lots of good little things planned for it. What cute ideas for daddy!Severus! hehe.. i can just see it now; Hooch lol and he's like wtf u lol at? hahahaha I'm really glad that you like this story :) Harry/Hermione are so bonded now. She's marked to him, has his blood (heheehe), and just ... wow.. you'll see. I might make mention of something in the epilogue though. What Harry did is very, very Dark, but he could do it again. I'm thinking it's as long as the body is still warm, he has a chance of calling their soul back (before they go over). more up soon | |||
