| Now that you mention it, perhaps Severus was a bit too soft in this particular chapter; he's being uncharacteristically honest. Downright ballsy, in the local vernacular. Of course, I loved this chapter as I love them all. My appreciation can be expressed in the words of druggies everywhere: "That's some goooood shit!" Not exactly the most eloquent endorsement of your work but for the purposes of a fanfiction addict such as myself, anything coherent after reading a new chapter is impressive. Hermione is too innocent for masturbation, I suppose. She certainly seemed ready to have Draco as soon as they were alone, which is not a testament to her maturity and understanding of how complicating sex is. Silly little girl. However, Severus can hardly claim to be the pillar of relationship knowhow, more like the pillar of dysfunctional crotch-ity idiocy. Curmudgeonly would probably be a more accurate word than crotch-ity but I feel that crotch-ity is infinitely more vivid. I'm wildly happy about this story and I shall of course await the next chapter with my honest opinion and my quirky abuse of sentence structure. 'My floo is open' ? Lovely double entendre. To bad for him that he said it in front of everyone in her compartment. As a question: What made you feel like Severus was ready to be so very openly demonstrative of his attraction to her? It's helpful to the story but I must admitt that he isn't generally the type to show anything that could be construed as a weakness, particularly when students are present. Repressive man that he is. Thank you bundles of bunches of barrels of cupcakes for the update! They make me smile every time I see one from you.

The reason that I had Severus do that was b/c he felt threatened by Draco somewhat. Well, that and Hooch's goading. He was trying to make some brownie points, i believe. It even swayed Ginny a bit. And, it led Hermione to realize that he was interested in her (not only the succubus). sorry i didn't answer that sooner! | |||

| Thought this chapter was great. Just the right amount of softness. Something wonderful about strong and soft together! That they seem to be willing to go forward and not "take the easy way out" just makes the story all that much better. Author's Response: thanks so much! | |||
