| What a great story! I love your Harry, and his Parseltongue spell in this is really interesting. I didn't think Sev's actions were freaky--a little frightening, maybe, but understandable. He and Hermione are just so cute together! | I think Severus' actions are very in character actually. He never had a relationship, and never felt the need to protect a person as he does Hermione. He is after all an ex-DE, he has a temper and absolutely no experience in loving someone. It's expected from a man with such passion and strong personality to flip at the thought of another man marking his woman. But at the end, the very ability to realize his mistakes that brought him to the light, was what made him change his actions in the last minute. He had a rough life and a terrible father. I imagine it would take time for him to control his emotions in that area. You've done a wonderful job and the chapter was very emotional and intense.
