| Interesting chapter. Glad to see that Ron is out of the picture. So, now is Neville interested in Hermione? And what about the little fer...I mean Draco...and what about Dumbledore? So many, many possibilities. Can't wait to see what comes up (all my finals are done, now I'm waiting for the class grades to come out). Author's Response: Congrats on finals being done. That has to be a burden off your shoulders. Hope the grades are pleasing :) I'm thinking that Hermione misunderstood Neville's intentions. Draco is a bit tricky. I do have plans for him, but I'm still trying to figure out how to get him where I want him. I think it will be fun to see how Snape interacts with Dumbledore. Will it be the same or differently as he does with Voldemort? The headmaster certainly isn't as dotty as he likes everyone to think..the sly old man. hehe more up soon. cheers | |||

| SW, you are a wonderful writer...This was a most excellent chapter, with just a hint of what can be....I'm wondering about Draco...He seems to be of a questionable allegiance...I'm wondering whether hs is working for Dumbledore...Hopefully Neville was just wanting advice on how to approach Ginny..or some other girl...I can't wait to see what is up next...update soon!!!PLEASE??!? *holding big neon orange sign that reads, "will provide temp beta service while yours is on vacation AND will provide chocolate for next chapter"* Author's Response: I'm so glad that you liked it. It took a bit longer to get out for various reasons, but I'm glad it worked. Draco is a bit iffy. We'll see more on that soon. I'm thinking that Hermione misunderstood Neville's intentions. | I'm wondering if Pansy is really interested in Ron, or if that isn't a set up. How convenient that Hermione has agreed to play along. :-) It will be interesting to see what Dumbledore's reaction is, and if his reported omniscience is all that it's cracked up to be. I also wonder if Snape realizes that as long as he's in good with Voldemort, his plan is safe. But should he fall out of favor, they'll go after Hermione to get to him. Another excellent chapter! ~Lisa Author's Response: I've got some things planned for Pansy, and to be honest, her actions aren't always what they seem to be. What I wonder is will she and Ron truly like each other? That'll be up at some point, likely soon. Snape is definitely going to wonder more about who might have been following Hermione. | Very well done, indeed. Most importantly he is gaining her trust AND causing her to depend on him. I wanted it. I needed it. I needed you, and suddenly, there you were. She needed him. Hermione won't know what hit her Saturday night!
The ending with Ron was bittersweet. I am happy it ended the way it did because it was realistic. Of course they still love each other, even if it is only as friends! Poor Ginny and Poor Neville! I hope he just wants advise on another girl! More soon PLEASE! I always wait anxiosly for your updates! smooches! Author's Response: thanks, doll. Let's see. She seems to trust him completely, doesn't she? And, he makes her a bit nervous. Tell tale signs of 'liking' someone. hehe About Ron, yeah, it was a bit sad. Ah well. Things happen. | Dear Southern, The dream sequence was interesting. It expressed Snape's dark desires, ones that are very primitiv, atavistic. I am a bit torn here - on one hand, it was a rape, disgusting. And you wrote it so that it seemed very erotic. From the predator's point of view. As much as it was fun to read - well, I have no personal problems in this department. But there are people who do, and I believe you should have respected that by giving the chapter non-con warning. perhaps that would be a bit of a spoiler (and confusing, as it doesn't really happen) but it would be more fair. I am a bit curious about the physics here - if he had her silenced and blindfolded and he had his head between her legs, one hand on her breast, why couldn't she move her hands enough to hit him? He couldn't be holding both her hands and legs at once (esoecially as he was busy with her breast at the time). So, shouldn't he have also cast a binding spell? y, not prepared enough. But maybe it's all because of being a dream. But I am of the opinion that no one is responsible for their dreams ;) - so I found that moment when Snape was tempted to rape Hermione in the beginning more disturbing than this here. Contrary, because when Snape woke, he didn't think "wow, that was amazing, I need to have her" but he was shaking and scared that he had hurt her. It actually shows that he is, deep down, a better man than he views himself. Or at least I see it that way. So, the bad part is the fact that by showing rape from sexual predator's point of view, you made it seem erotic and less evil than it is. I found it hot, and I shouldn't have. But then, perhaps I only found it so because I knew form the moment he touched her that it was a dream of his. It wouldn't do for Snape to behave that way, and he isn't a rapist in this story. As to other parts of the story - I don't find this idea of Tonks pleasant. I like Tonks :( But that is your vision. The subplot of Ginny/Remus can prove interesting here (Aeryn's HG/SS, GW/RL story Another World was one of my first fanfics so I have quite a fondness for the pairing). I don't think Snape did it, but I would like for him to have done it. I want him evil here (but not towards Hermione!), remember ;) I think that actually it was Lucius, on Voldemort's request, in order to intimidate the new ones. He is good at intimidation and in most of the HG/SS stories he is the Evil Death Eater that does all the rapes and killings (am I nasty? No, no way!). I hope to see more plotting!Snape as well as evil and lust-driven Snape. I want to see him seduce Hermione and I don't want her to realise that she is being manipulated. I want her a bit blindfolded here. (evil Novinha) Of course, you will do the way you want. Just please, no sap... It isn't my usual type of story. I usually prefer to read Snape that I wouldn't mind to meet. This Snape - in real life - I'd probably hate. But I like reading about him. And it seemed like he doesn't think himself good, but simply more intelligent, and that is why he deserves to get her. Because he will win, not because he is good. And why don't we get this HG and SS in the lines your write to cut the parts of chapters? ;) And no, I will not be disappointed because of his not changing - I just don't want him to be excused. What he does isn't right, but he is a man with problems and that is the way he sees the world, and acts accordingly. Author's Response: Ah, let's see. Where to begin. I did consult with someone about the warning bit, and I was told that since it didn't actually happen and was a dream, that it would be okay to not post the warning bit. As to your questioning about her hitting at him, she did struggle against him, but as you so kindly pointed out, it's a dream. I never feel in control of my dreams, and some things always seem a bit foggy to me and unrealistic. That's the plan here. He's dreaming of having his way with her, and his mind sort of unconsciously projects that she struggles, tries to scream, claws at him, etc., but it also shows that she is easily persuaded to enjoy it. My entire reasoning behind the dream was to show a little darkness could be possible with Seveus, but to also show that he would never do that to her. I think it works well here, and I quite liked it. But, I'm thinking that I must be a naughty girl because I, too, found it completely erotic. lol.. how terrible! About Tonks, well, these are through the eyes of a teen. I'm not quite sure that we've gotten the entire story on that just yet, but I do promise more on that. I've never read the story that you are talking about here, but I will be sure to look it up. I do enjoy ss/hg. I'm gonna have the information on the guy's death in the next chapter. We'll find out if Severus did it or not (either way, I'm quite sure that he is capable). He's got a temper after all. As far as Hermione finding out that she is being manipulated, that will be much much later on after all things are said and done. I'm thinking that at that point, she'll not really hold it against him all that much. I've decided that Severus is on the fence. Whichever way the war sways is the side he is on. Whomever he is talking to at the moment has his loyalty. He knows that either way, he has a place, and he knows that either way, Hermione can be his. And, about his reward, well, I dont think he considers himself a good boy either. I think it's more like a man that works his arse off and expect some pay for it. | Great chapter! When you started the chapter with that dream sequence, at first I thought "shit, she's gone completely to the dark side!" I was so relieved that it was a dream sequence. On another note, if Ron can cheat once (especially with the rationalization that some women are for screwing and some are for marrying), he can do it again. He obviously does not have his priorities in order and is not mature enough to truly love her. I am glad you have Hermione holding off (love those feminine instincts). Also, interesting tale the Ginny told. I have to admit, I hope she is on the level (not to mention, I don't think I have read a fic yet where Tonks is the bad guy). And, no, I don't think Snape killed Higgs (in the chapter you have his reverie interrupted by the sound of yelps, implying that someone else was doing the torturing and most likely the killing).
As to myself, I have been doing ok. I have had a few minor health problems (they still do not know what was causing my ankles to swell. They still occasionally swell a little bit, but not like before). Mostly, I have been busy with the classes I am taking. This week is finals week (god help me). I probably should not be reading fanfic, but I swear I will rip my hair out if I re-read another text book! I like learning, but I really hate tests! Anyway, after this week, I should be back to being regular on my LJ. I hope all is well with you! Are you 100 percent yet? I had wondered if you were feeling better. I had some ruddy swelling as well. grrrr... lol Come to find out though, I have a hypothyroid.. grrrr but at least i'm able to have meds for it.
