| Oh man, you've made me find VOLDEMORT logical and admirable... for however briefly. You're mad talented, lol. I love the realism in Hermione and Severus' conversation. You give them the kind of conversation that goes on and on, yet makes little headway, and leaves both persons frustrated and still with hope that they'll eventually convince the other. Trying to say exactly what they mean, yet not getting through to the other. That's what real conversations, particularly real emotional quandaries, sound like. I need more! Author's Response: lol! | That is the thing about men who have delusions of grandeur. It is the same in our history, so why wouldn't it be true of HP history, men who want to take over the world have to be charismatic and be able to sell what their version of a new world order if not they would not have very many followers. So they use part of the truth to make people see things their way. But you did a very good job of portraying that demeanor. -- It certainly took her long enough to figure out that if you want a Slytherin to do your bidding you have to be better at the game than he, without giving away that a game is being played, and lets face it men are so easy. -- B Author's Response: Yep, he manipulated some things to make them sound good, just as many do I'm sure (politics.. hehe). | Voldemort is killing all these people because he wants to be a SCHOOLMASTER? The man truly is out of his mind. I mean, education is important and all that, but jeez! I'm still finding Hermione far too compliant with a man who seems to be making all her, and their, decisions. Author's Response: A schoolmaster...? Well, I suppose you could look at it that way. I prefer to look further and truly see what he said. He wants to school and train people to join his ranks and prepare for a war against Muggles. This way he gets top choice on the most skilled people. I am quite certain he's only trying to gain Hermione's loyalty and save his servant some trouble. Yes, she's quite compliant. She's backed against a wall. It would pay for her to continue blubbering, screaming, and whinging about like a child, especially now that Voldemort has threatened her parents' lives. She is going to use the only thing she can to sway Severus. Whether she truly stays with him once he achieves what she requests is another tale in itself. You don't just turn your feelings off or on b/c someone you love ends up being an arsehole. An example would be that if my husband went out and murdered someone, I wouldn't immediately hate him, but I would hate what he did. In time, things would change, but not in the first fifteen hours. Things will progress accordingly. I should have more up soon enough. The next chapter is nearly done. | |||
