I am caught up in the drama. I notice you did not name the spells used on Lupin or Snape. Which makes we wonder if they are fatal. I seriously doubt that Dumbledore would allow Lupin to be sacrificed….Obvioulsy he hexed Snape to fool Lucius…tricky tricky

Author's Response: Right. I was trying not to give away my true plans and make people wonder. Dumbledore wouldn't allow any sacrifices, no, unless it was he doing the sacrificing--at least in this story anyway.

You and your damn dream sequences at the beginning of chapters. I was already apprehensive because of the title of the chapter. I was caught up in the dream! Snape was really bugging me when he was ranting at Harry once Harry said he knew about their relationship. Seems to me he was acting like a jealous child instead of a big bad death eater. I hope he will be able to see past his memories of James Potter soon enough. I find his hatred of Harry annoying.

Author's Response: When I can't have them really shagging, I figure a bit of play wouldn't be amiss. Quite useful, that. Hehehe! I doubt Snape will ever get by those memories of James Potter. There is too much jealousy and hatred there, though I believe it unfair to put that on Harry, but he always has. I don't think jealous is always a childish trait. Some of the most horrible people in the world are guilty of jealousy, causing them to harm or kill others. It's actually quite dangerous. I'm a very jealous type most of the time. Or at least I was. Lately I'm not. I guess I'm settled into my marriage for the long run now. But anyway, I used to be horrible. If we'd be out and some lady would wonder over to talk to my man, I just couldn't handle that and would glare at her or say something snide (I'm such a female Snape.) to her--usually ending in a rumble. LOL...

Glad to know that Ginny has moved on from Remus. I know I have! I find Ginny and Draco have a small amount of my sympathy and support. Mainly of course, I am invested in Hermione and Snape. I am impressed that Harry has been so mature about H&S. I am also thankful that he has chosen to accept it instead of railing against it. I hate it when he does that. I think its cute that he is trying to give them time alone and neither one of them pick up on it. Tee hee

Author's Response: I prefer a mature Harry as compared to Ranting!Harry, so that's the Harry I normally use. I like Draco and Ginny. They have a bigger part later on.

I was never tempted to think that Hermione would do anything other than follow/protect/support Harry in the final battle. I think Bane’s visions of the future are accurate in that respect. I think Hermione is slowly coming to grips with the idea that Severus could be playing both sides of the war but does not want to admit he would. She sees him as noble and right. There isn’t a lot of fuzziness in her world its either black or white. That being said you better not be killing Severus off at the end! I will be right pissed if you do. I’ll figure out how to send you a howler in our muggle world my dear! Outburst done. I’ll go back to being a happy reader now.

Author's Response: I think Snape really believed that she would do whatever he wanted by the time a battle came about. Silly man. Bane's visions are nearly all dead on. lol

I think Remus is weak. I think he was certainly taking advantage of Ginny in her grief and he handled the situation poorly to say the least. Besides which Tonks gave him the perfect opportunity to come clean with her and he denied it. Fool that will come back to haunt him. So I wonder what Bane will see if Ginny is undeclared? It seems that she and Draco have chosen to not chose (light? Dark? Neither?) They have made a third way. I am disappointed that Severus and Hermione will be moving back to the castle. Seems like a step back for their relationship instead of forwards. Bummer.

Author's Response: I agree. Remus isn't exactly one of my favorite characters in the book, especially after HBP. So I figured I'd depict him a little "weaker" here than most might see him. He handled things very poorly and is lucky she didn't tell anyone about it. The move back to the castle is inevitible. Dumbledore demands it. LOL... She'll be back with him at some point soon.

I had to laugh out loud when Severus said “she must learn to accept without explanation” Has he never met Hermione Granger before? Hellllllooooooo! Not going to happen. She very much won that round. Even if he didn’t tell her everything she wanted to know, and did feed her some lines she wanted to hear, for the most part he answered her. I am very curious about how the next exchange will go with Lucius. How friendly will he be with Severus? Is Severus angry with him or merely tolerant? Is Lucius really running around with out Voldie consent? So many questions I hope will be answered in the next chapter.

Author's Response: Lucius is all about doing his own thing, and Snape will eventually help him.

And a lovely bow to Vanity, how cute.

There was so much in that chapter, while it appeared transitional, you did a lot with it so it didn't have that feeling. V Nice. Liked the chat on the terrace, worked well. And yes, Hermione is only 18 as much as she's written as 35. She is not emotionally older than Snape, regardless. Footstamping will occur. Hell, I still do it occasionally at over 40! LOL.

Hope you're feeling better, dear.

Author's Response: thanks, doll! I'm glad you see Hermione as I do.

I found Snape's behavior to be petulant and immature and annoying to be quite honest. I dont like the way he is trying to manipulate Hermione into submission. Funny I see the irony that his physical seduction of her doesn’t bother me at all. But when he tries to control her through manipulation I get offended. A bit inconsistent on my part huh? Well kudos to Hermione for going to Hogsmead anyway. I am a bit nervous at what will happen in our little magical hamlet.

Author's Response: lol.... prepare yourself, doll. He's all about manipulation in this story, though she does try a bit of her own. Of course, his plans don't always work. lol.. you'll see what i mean!
