| Poor Severus! What a miserable situation. I am glad that Hermione finally decided to ask for help. And I hope she is able to save Severus with the potion she found. Only one more chapter to go! | I loved this chapter. The part where Hermione was sleeping in the same bed with comatose Severus was reminiscent of my favorite short-story, "A Rose for Emily" by William Faulkner. Well, I guess now you'll know why I'm so twisted, at least if you are familiar with that story. Author's Response: Oh, yes, it's been a long while since I've read that. I'm going off to read it again just after I write this. Shiver! I really liked that as well. It stayed with me for a long time after I read it. I couldn't rid myself of the imagery with the final scene and who they found in the bedroom upstairs and the implications. Great tale. I'm glad that you liked this chapter. I hoped nobody would think it was too freaky, her laying with him in such a way, but I figured I'd likely be the same way. :) | |||

| I'm glad Snape's not dead and Hermione's stuborness is manifesting itself as determination; the same trait really just seen from the negative and positive aspects. It seems to me you've got the spin right in this chapter as far those who should be supportive are, those who should feel guilty do (except perhaps Tonks but Remus will do it for both of them). It's good of Lucius to show up to help. I liked that Snape had a friend in this story and they shared an understanding and a loyalty. I'll be looking for the final chapter. ~casey
P.S. I occasionally use your Favorite Stories list for recs when I need to find something to read. When do you think Pearle is going to give us some more "Dances with Witches"? My own rec for a really great story is "The Summoning" by Bambu. Author's Response: I agree that Tonks isn't as "guilty feeling" as she should be, though I've not delved into her mind. We'll just pretend that she is. :) Things are finally on track. I'm happy that you liked it. I have a couple more I need to add to my faves list! | Whoopee! Hermione gets to tell old Lucius off, Lucius has made himself useful, Ginny's round and glowing, and we may have Severus back shortly. How perfectly delightful! | My very favorite part was the conversation between Hermione and Malfoy Sr...I'll admit I was nervous when he was there with Hermione's mother, anyway, when Hermione lists all his bad deeds I LOVED it!
