| See this is the problem, I think after I wrote this review and I was re-reading 'Where In Your Loyalties Lie' that I got the two stories confused. But this story does not have anything to do with Lily, and the other one does, so forgive my mistake. | Now, now you would not be so transparent as to have Finnegan die, so it must be something good. Something to do with Lucius. That might explain why Draco was so jumpy and why Severus is wary. Great chapter, it still amazes me the number of ways that Severus manipulates Hermione. What amazes me more is the fact that most of those things would work on a woman, having little or nothing to do him being older and more experienced than she is. But they would also work on him, I wonder if he knows that.
One of the things I have noticed is that in your portrayl of Severus, he stays in character as to what is preceived as being utterly Slytherin. That in and of itself is very impressive. I have to wonder though does he have a softer side, in this story, would he do anything to keep Hermione safe?
In this chapter, I wonder if part of his anger at Hermione for saying of Potter, "If he fails, then so do I." is because he cannot bare to watch another woman that he wants to allow herself to be lost because of Harry. Can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter. -- B Author's Response: Nope! Oh, and yes, he would do anything to keep her safe. About Harry, you are right. He feels she should be thinking, "If Severus fails, then so do I." | This is definitely Snape at his manipulating, controlling best! I'm wondering what would happen if Dumbledore forbid any contact... and I wonder if Hermione caught the reference to "My Master"? | wonderful as always southern! i was absolutly giddy with excitment when i saw your story pop up on the 'update list'. must know what happens in hogsmeade. *doing my little happy dance* (it's patented ya know) ;) Author's Response: teehee! | Wow you have done it again. I want to say in addition to the way you portray Severus, I think your version of an innocent Hermione is dead on. Keeping in mind that he is 19 years older, everything is realistic, to the way he continuosly has to hold himself back to her giggling when 'it' twitched! Bloody Brilliant!
I like the way he is 'punishing' her as well. Now, he is teaching her a lesson. It seems those two have a slight power struggle going on. Of course, HE is the one with most of the power, but she has her days I say. I mean, she did get him to her room! *smirk* I wonder what you have planned for Hogsmeade??? You always have something good and twisted in that cauldren of yours, my little witch!! Can't wait for more!!! PS Hmmm What's up with Draco, I wonder?? Smooches!!!
