| Hey, Southern! I really liked Luring the Enchantress. There were moments when I felt Hermione and (especially) Snape to be out of character, but only occasionally. It was more than outweighed by the fact that you're one of the few writers to recognize that a young Hermione wouldn't be completely emotionally mature or aware of Severus' manipulation. I really appreciated your disclaimers on that--if only more writers realized it! Anyway, congratulations on a terrific story, and I hope to read more of your work soon. | I've been meaning to read this for a very long time and I've finally gotten around to it. I'm so glad that I waited because this is a wonderful fic to start off my summer vacation! I think everyone was very much in character. I'm just sad that Ron had to die. Author's Response: thank you very much. I appreciate it. I have another one that's similar to this one where Ron lives. | ok a few comments! LOVED THIS STORY!!!!!! it took me bit to get through b/t work and life, but i really loved every moment of it! i've always been intrigues w/this ship, more so lately for some reason. i just love the idea of hermione being with an older man, especially one that seems so intelleigant and dark. she needs to be taken down a few pegs lol. i also loved the side stories, especially the remus/ginny/draco triangle. very well done there. i really felt the emotions that were going through each of the characters too. you are a very talented writer indeed. anyway, i'll stop babling and end this with a good job and i can't wait to read more of you work! much love! | I'm fairly new to this website and have never posted a review, but...WOW! I've stayed up late for the past 2 nights reading this - couldn't stop. I loved the very gradual seduction thing. And the developement of Snape's character where he can't say for sure which side he is on, but eventually comes to the right decision. One question - twice he refers to Lily, in the dream and when he sees Harry's eyes. Did they actually have a relationship? (I've always there was something there). Anyway, this was beautiful and yet realistic, and I will definately read more from you. THANKS! | wow, I managed to hide away in a corner with my laptop for almost two nights to read all of this! The story was fantastic! Crying in spots, giggling in others, wanting to slap some of the characters into next week at other times!
the only question I had ( well that after 42 chappies I could remember to ask you....) when Snape was in the coma, why did Hermione not try to use the enchanted parchment to get a "feel" for if he was aware or "gone"..? aside that little nitpic....it was fantastic and I was honoured to be able to view your potterverse
Author's Response: I'm happy that you enjoyed it. About the parchment, I figured with the state of the curse and his body that the parchment would have just given his location and stated he was sleeping or something. I'd hoped everyone had assumed that she'd already tried everything without going back over the happenings before Harry let slip that Snape was alive to readers. Part of my strategy. LOL.
