| Hermione realized her Mother was right? Good grief! Real grief... Frankly, I think Snape's death is Dumbledore's fault. IIRC Snape told DD he didn't want her there and I think the reason he didn't was because he knew the danger she would be in, a prime target of the Dark Lord's wrath, and that if they were both there at least one of them would die. Dumbledore owed Snape big time to my way of thinking and he should have tricked her at the last minute and left her bound up in 12GP waiting for a happy reunion. Instead she'll have memories, an heirloom ring, the letter he left for her, and a lifetime to regret and repent her own immaturity, rashness and lack of faith in him. Poor child. ~casey Author's Response: I agree about the Dumbledore bit. He didn't try too hard to keep her home, but she is of age, had her mother's approval, and would have refused to give the Order the location information. I guess he weighed all that against Severus' request. I don't know that Harry would have allowed him to trick her since she was so adamant to be at his side. Yes, poor Hermione. I do agree. She's only eighteen though and acted accordingly, I believe. They've always just done things that way. I think she thought she was finally being strong and hoping to be the one to save him for a change. More up soon. Hope you enjoy. | |||

| Oh my! Is Severus really dead? Say it isn't so! Poor Hermione! This was a good chapter, very action filled. I enjoyed the battle scene. So, two more chapters now, right?
