| Snape's darkness just gets more and more enticing with every chapter...and for the record, I had no problem with the non-con dream in the other chapter. I found it to have just the right balance: the arousing image of a ravishing Snape and yet his feelings about it afterwards struck a perfect balance for me. We have to remember sometimes that they guy didn't get to be a Death Eater by skulking around at the back of the crowd, he surely did his share of the nasty, and likely this could be an after-effect of all that that's kind of creeping around in his subconscious. I could believe that a part of him that he keeps repressed and under lock and key really does want to rape her, and that he's keeping it in check by thinking on what he'll do next to manipulate her.
Hard to say how I would deal with Snape if I were in Hermione's shoes...certainly the reality of such a man is not as workable or tolerable as our fantasies allow him to be as we read about him. But I'm not ashamed to say that I find the dark and twisty eroticism of this guy very appealing, and so I shan't make any excuses for myself. Bad boy syndrome on my part? Maybe it is, but I hardly care. I like it, plain and simple, I'm not about to try and sort out the moral conflicts of what he is doing here. Just keep it coming, and you can take that as a pun if you like! I think many of us like to entertain the idea of being ravished at least once in our lives. For myself, I would have a good laugh if Ron were to catch them snogging all hot and heavy...;) Now I am wondering what Dumbledore will be on about, too. ~HR Author's Response: I'm glad you didn't mind about the dream. I figured it would be okay since it clearly shows that it disturbed him. At least we know that he won't really do it, if nothing else. As you said a little darkness will always be lurking about, waiting to sneak out. You are not alone when you say that you are attracted to bad boys. Me too! lol Someone did spy on them though. | Nope, I don't think he did it, but I also don't think he put his back out trying to stop it, either. I think we have a really good Possessive!Severus going here, and woe betide the wizard who attempts to stand between him and Hermione or to make any untoward actions against the witch he sees as his. I could see him casting the Mark though, maybe. Liking this delightfully sneaky Head Snake you're giving us here...Voldemort better watch his step! ~HR Author's Response: You guessed right. | Wheeee! I love it when he resorts to being DarkWizard!Snape! He's always so sexy in his manipulations! I wasn't bored at all through the Ron/Hermione thing, because I was chocking up points in Severus' favour throughout, heh heh. | I love the way you've kept the character of Snape believable Snape. You've got me anxiously awaiting the next chapter. I simply adored Snape's chaste kisses. That was a brillant way of waking Hermione up. I also enjoyed the part of the story when Snape tells her about the Higgs guy. That was brilliant how he confided in her. He is one crafty guy. Well keep up the great writing and post again soon. =) Author's Response: Those little smooches were cute, huh? I loved the way her pretended to be abashed after.. muahahhaa. | I was just thinking.... Neville is going to claim the b'day present as his. having heard from Ron/Ginny that mione doesn't know the writer of the beautifully written letter...he's having a go at Mione, maybe he was the one following her down the dungeon, smelt Snape and ran away as fast as he could....? | This chapter came to an end to soon. with a horrified look in my eyes i saw the end coming. I would like to see Malfoy going after Mione too. dumbledore....can't wait for his reaction, i'm sure Snape will give it a twist to keep seeing mione. I REALLY REALLY REALLY love this fic, and can't wait for the next chapter...Maybe tomorrow????? please? pretty please?... :( Author's Response: HinT! Dumbledore is pretty sneaky on his own. He does have a bit to say to Snape about things. I'm working on Vengeance right now, but I should have something up over here soon. :) The chapter was a bit long, but it just passes so quickly.
