Reviews for Luring the Enchantress

The heat is on indeed! I think all this foreplay is clouding her intelligence. Drop potions immediately! then there will be no student teacher relationship. I think with a less sex clouded mind she would pick up on his not so subtle hints sooner. Although....he seems to have gotten over that object neatly himself. I hope this next chapter has some completion!!

Author's Response: Yep, you know how it is when we get all bothered and lose our "heads" for a bit. He's trying to get her to do just that (drop Potions anyway... hehe).

Excellent

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

Ha Ha! Punches fist into the air. I guessed right! It was Dumbledore. Lets just remember that once early in your story I guessed something right. Normally I am embarrassingly off the mark. For example I am a bit confused on where Draco is coming from. Is he a DE or not? I am relieved that Neville is not pursing Hermione. I will be thankful when Hermione stops sniffing over her Ron relationship. Also I like how Ginny is rather a villain in your story. Or at least at odds with our Hermione. Ginny’s character is so rarely nasty in fan fiction. Its nice to see.

Author's Response: You sure did. Most people thought it was Draco. Draco is working for the Dark Lord and his father, but he's more of a do it for himself type. You'll see. This Ginny is a bit nasty, but she'll be better.

Author's Response: And it's hard to stop sniffling over someone or something important that has been lost to you--in whatever sense. I think her worries and disappointment about Ron and their relationship is justified, as I've been there and done that myself. Many people have. Even if something is better off being over, it still doesn't make it easier.

Was it Draco following her in the dungeons? No I think it was Dumbledore. I had a principal in high school that did that. After you would leave his office he would follow you down the hall to hear your unguarded comments. I can see Dumbledore being sneaky like that. And having the skill to mask his presence to that dark locator spell Snape is using. On another note I am thrilled to pieces that Hermione and Ron have decided their spilt is permanent. I don’t like Ron, and I loathed her pining after him. Good riddance. Now what is Neville all about? Hummmmm?

Author's Response: Dumbledore has so much more up his sleeves....

Southern, Oh hell no, I'll keep reading it Just because hermione is a whiny 18 year old twit doesn't mean I don't think your Evil Potions Master isn't as sexy as all get out. He just needs to rough her up a bit

Author's Response: Oh, good. I felt bad that you'd invested so much time reading it only to be disappointed. I feel a bit better now. I do like the Snape here, too. Hehe... (I'm biased!) Hope you like the next few chapters. She'll improve some and have to answer for her idiocy.

Ohmygoodness Southern that dream at the beginning of the chapter was HOT! Hot! Hot! I almost fell for it myself, it was so detailed with how he would hide his crime. I am glad it was just a dream thought. No rapes here please. I laughed out loud at Hermione’s line “think of him as Hagrid” too funny. So when Voldie said to Snape “soon she will be asking to have tea with your associates” Did he mean that soon Hermione will want to meet Snape’s DE friends or will he have her manipulated enough that soon Hermione will consider joining the DEs? Frightening. And yes I think Snape killed young Higgs.

Author's Response: Many people fell for it! LOL... :) No rapes in this story, doll. Don't worry on it. They feel that she will be easily manipulated to following him blindly.

Oh my! That spell you thought up to allow Snape to track Hermione is positively creepy! Talk about giving a stalker more power over his victim. Yikes. So glad its only a fictional creation. I am curious as to why Neville didn’t know the break up is mutual? Perhaps Ron is telling everyone its his fault? Well he should the little wanker. Again I am happy with how you have portrayed Snape to be honest with himself. No tortured angst for him to admit to himself his feelings for her. It makes the character be more self confident I think. Love him and his twisty alliances!

Author's Response: I actually would love to have one of those things for my son. Not to see anything odd, but to make certain of his location and that all is well. :) Ron is a git for a bit. You'll see what I mean. This Snape will not be one of those "Oh, Woe! I love her, but I won't tell her because..." When he finally realizes it, he'll tell her casually. LOL

For some reason, I find the Hermione you have written in this story very unlikeable. She's vascillates from a loving, understanding partner, to a childish bitch stamping her foot. The fact that she can't realize the concept that Snape can't tell her the "truth" about Potter because of her inability to use occulmency paints her as a wee bit dim. And I don't think she's dumb. I love your writing, and always eagerly await new things. But this one doesn't do it for me. Which, I think, is fine. Cheers, wolfen

Author's Response: Yes, I'm not likeing Hermione much right now either. That's why I spoke through Snape and pointed out what a child she was being. There's a method to my madness, however, and reasoning, but I'll not be begging anyone to carry on reading. I'm sorry you don't like it, and I just feel bad that you kept up with it this long, as it's nearly done.

In my mind, she's only 18. Her friends have died, she has no idea what's going on because she's locked away more or less, and it's getting to her. She thinks that Harry is dead and that Snape is trying to "protect" her feelings. It never crosses her mind that he's alive. That is something she will have to deal with once Snape gets enough. She's not dumb at all. She's distressed and has too much on her mind to think clearly. Emotions are very tricky little buggers and muck with the best of us... even the bright people. just wanted to show her as a confused young woman that sometimes wants to take charge, sometimes wants to be protected, and is tired of all the deceit around her.

Of course if that's not understood, then I suppose my writing and the conveying of my ideas aren't working. Perhaps I'll do better next time, eh? I'm needing a break from this anyway.

I'll never have a Hermione that's more clever than Snape or that controls Snape--ever, and if I depict her as an 18 year old, she'll always still have some bit of her "childishness" in her. I don't think 18 year old Hermione = the poise, patience, experience, or knowledge of, say, a 30 year old.

Author's Response: And please, don't think you've offended me. You haven't. I truly don't mind. I'll just try harder to convey things better. Cheers.
