| Ah, the course of true love never runs smooth. I can't believe you're going to let Severus die so Harry can win (isn't that what we're all worried book 7 will bring?), you're not JKR in disguise, are you? This is the angst, the tragedy before the hero (Severus, in this case) wins out and gets the girl. Very noble, and very stupid, on his part. Maybe the element of surprise will be enough. | I believe that "...redefine the nature of our association…” comes from Ever After. Loved this chapter and the last couple, even if I almost cried during this one. Author's Response: I've been watching Ever After for the past month. I do love Drew Barrymore, but in this case, it's my sexy Val Kilmer I'm thinking of (as Doc Holliday) when he tells Big Nose Kate the "news" after the doctor leaves. I just love him in that movie. "I'm your huckleberry." Woohooo! **Going slip the dvd in now!** The next chapter will have a little interaction with the pair, but it won't be as heart-wrenching as this. Maybe time will work some wonders. Let's hope! :) | |||
