| D'ya know, I spent the last week on the edge of my seat reciting "They apparated, they apparated" over and over while checking for updates! It's been so ansty! So firstly thank you for not ending this chapter on a cliffy, my nerves would have given up on me! I reread carefully before reviewing because of your A/N. The reason I think this chapter is dark is the method of revenge killing, the snapping of his neck. There is something sterile, almost gallant about death-by-wand "Avada Kadavra" style. You were right to depict this death as you did because i) Snapping someone's neck is the sort of thing a spy like Snape would do, ii) "Something inside him snapped", he lost control, he could not stand to see his witch suffering and retaliation and retribution overwhelmed him.
What will he tell Voldemort? He wouldn't have killed Narcissa unless..........? What will Bella do? Will she ever find out the truth? How do you format a review????? Author's Response: Hermione wonders about the method of killing as well. She feels it's barbaric, yet she is torn between wanting to see the man dead for his deed or seeing him in prison for it. Things will sort themselves out, but I do believe Snape would have done it that way (and liked it.) hehe. I have the part with Voldemort and Bella up next. Bella takes it well, shocked I think. He wouldn't have killed Narcissa unless she would have harmed Hermione or if Hermione would have insisted on it. If you want some paragraphs in these reviews you have to insert a break tag < br> (except all together. Funky huh? Put two of those and you get a line in the midst. | |||

| Yes. Poor innocent Hermione, watching Severus kill Rodolphus by slicing him time and time again. That would probably be a very ugly thing to see. Severus is very fluffy at the end - poor man, unable to tell her exactly how he feels about her. It was very perceptive of Hermione to realize the duplicity of Severus. Eagerly awaiting you next installment. (It may not have been my favorite chapter, but I realize that sometimes ugly things must happen before the "happily ever after") Author's Response: Fluffy... the three-headed dog. ~snicker~ He doesn't truly know himself. Well, he believes himself to be in control of his emotions: protectiveness, lust, obsession even, but we know better. muahaha. So he hauls arse when it threatens to overwhelm him. I've sent the next chapter off a few days ago. Hope you enjoy it! Hermione will explain to us why she was so "shocked" about what she saw. | |||

Is Hermione completely unaware of what Severus is? Does she foolishly think that her love is enough to change him into an "honorable" man? Does she not know what a Death Eater is? I understand that it is a lot for her to watch her lover murder another, but did she really think he could just turn the other cheek with so much at stake? Tell me Hermione is not that naive. Eighteen years old or no, please tell me she isn't that...ignorant. Author's Response: hahaha... hit twice to ensure that I got the message, eh? I adore Harry though he's quite impulsive. Something happened to my lover? Hell, yes, I'm going see WTF is up. I don't blame him there. You'll have to wait on Hermione's pov for the next chapter. She knows what a Death Eater is all about, but she's not yet witnessed it. 18 or 60, the first time you see a brutal death, at your lover's hands no less, will be shocking. She didn't say anything about her love being enough to change him. She simply wants to know if he's with Harry or against him. Some guy just broke her arm and was going to slice her up. She quite entitled to drift off into shock if she chooses to. I suppose she thought that Rodolphus could be incarcerated as the others were. She does appreciate that her man came... but I digress. That's all in the next bit. | |||

| Great chapter. Yes he would definitely would have done that. Fortunate for Narcissa that Hermione spoke up. Yes I believe everyone would have reacted that way. I'm still not sure about Narcissa. We haven't heard much of her.. So she is a toss to the wind...
Now with Luc/Narc together will they be able to combine their powers and break out? Would they go to Voldemort or possibly skip this country for warmer climates??
Sounds like you need a ladies night out in real life...

| Poor Hermione, I think I'd have trouble if my beloved so ruthlessly killed a man. He deserved it, but still... I hope things will be ok between them once she's thought it all through. Poor Harry has few things go right for him. Wonderful chappy, can't wait for the next. Author's Response: She'll be fine eventually. I think there are worse things for her to be angry with him over. (zips lips) She'll explain her feelings on it, and Snape will make no excuses for himself. | |||

| So you're going to have Severus tread carefully, right? Right? Sigh.... Perhaps Hermione can look at Fleur, talk with Bill and Harry about what they would do with Rodolphus; they'd probably do the same as Severus. I wonder if Severus can find Gabrielle; seems like she would be a good hostage for Harry, if Rodolphus was thinking ahead. While Harry should not have left the castle with Heremione, I wonder if he'll regret not leaving sooner, if Gabrielle is still gone. Thanks for updating!! Author's Response: He'll tread as carefully as he normally does. hehe. hermione will get to a point where she realizes that none of them are any better than Severus. Harry has lots of regrets. I'll explore that soon. :) | |||
