At points the story ticked me off to the point of not wanting to continue, but knowing that you did warn about the way Hermione would be (I didn't think she would be *this* bad, mind you), I figured it was my fault and just continued with the story. Hermione actually coming into the mindset of an intelligent (not just book smarts) person her age, made me happier with the story, I just wished it would have happened sooner. Hermione's sexuality was a bit.. underdeveloped for someone her age and especially for the generation that JKR set her in. I was, again, deeply happy that she got over that. I did enjoy this story, especially Snape. I believe that he was portrayed in a perfect way, and it's exactly how I would have behaved in that situation. -- On another note, being 18, when I see someone being portrayed at that age with an inability to notice being manipulated or someone being shifty, or, on the other hand, behaving below the level that they would have grown in this generation's behavior and regular lives, tends to annoy me and I'm sure other young people reading stories like that. I do realize that you were trying to stick with how you thought JKR was trying to portray Hermione, I just can't help but feel she was just a bit too underdeveloped. That's my only grievance with the story. Other than that - great job; good read.

This is your masterpiece. I've never seen anything like this, so you get bonus points for originality as well as for the intricacy of the plot. I love the psychological insight into all the various characters. I find it intriguing that if Arthur had never given his dumb advice about shopping for cauldrons, that the entire year or two would have played out differently. I'm also delighted by the fact that when Severus chose his rewards from his various masters, that he asked Voldemort to spare Hermione, and he asked Dumbledore to spare the Malfoys.

This is a great story. Snape is what he is. I dare anyone to think clearly when someone is hurting a loved one. It is his nature to be dark but his redeaming act is to love Hermione. In the end, Hermione loves him, warts and all. Well done!

"I am not even certain". What a line. Whose side is Snape on ? His own!

I don't want to say it, but I will, "WOW!" I know I know, how original. Anyway, I just finished your story and I want you to know that you had me to point of sobbing a few times because I have been through that "it seems like I am waiting forever and nothing is happening" pain, and also the "he is breaking it off with me for my own good, what is he thinking?!?" pain. I could remember my own experiences so clearly, and you portrayed them perfectly. When I thought Snape was dead I sat here crying through it all until I saw that he was in the bed. And even then I read that over 4 times to make sure it wasn't a mistake. I LOVE the way you portray Hermione, for even though I want to slap her at times, I wanted to slap myself a lot at age as well. She does grow and change a lot in this story, and it was wonderfully written. It is only a pity that this is fan fiction and nothing can ever truly be done with it because of copy right laws. I think you did a marvelous job, and I was so emotional over this story because I was so connected. The characters were real, and not just because they were familiar to me because of HP. That's about it I think other than I really wish I had someone to hold me through my tears because your story had such a great ending I feel alone because my Severus isn't here right now. Have a nice evening and thank you for taking so much time to write this. I LOVED IT.

I don't find Snape's Hermione-tracking parchment creepy. It's just a variation on the marauders' map.
