Squeee!! Loved the frank conversation between Hermione and Lucius. Thanks for writing this entertaining story and good luck on your novel.

Author's Response: thanks, Drox. I appreciate all the support you give me. Did you see I finally changed my summary? LOL No more snickering from you about the subtle bit. hahaha!!

hi...this is a great story and I've been following it since the beginning...kinda sorry to see it end... can't wait till the next chapter...when do u think it will be up?

Author's Response: Apologies for it taking so long. I wrote it and thought I sent to my beta. Then my internet was down. Imagine my surprise that my beta didn't actually get my email. Hahhaha! So she has it now "again."

Although I love the Snape that you have described, I am relieved that he seems to be choosing the right path. This is very good southern_witch, I am really enjoying your story.

Author's Response: Yep, he's finally turning in the right direction. :)

Finally, was wanting to find a block of time to savour your delicious writing! And it was so very worth the wait! Loved the Weasley's, Narcissa; Hermione and her sore hands! Beautiful, tender writing as always.

Huge congrats on the award, btw, it is so well deserved!

Author's Response: Thanks for reading. I've written the last chapter and hope to have it up soon. Cheers! Can't wait to see what you've written after your "unblocking."

I think this is the first time I've ever reviewed a story here, but ooooooh gosh! It took me three days to get to the end of what was posted so far, and if I don't leave my thoughts on it, I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight! I loved the story from chapter one. It took me a while to start reading it because I was a bit put off by the fact that the premise of it was an actual manipulation of Hermione because it was what I percieved as a combination of a challenge and a whim that ended up getting turned into a task, and not because he wanted her for herself. For the first many many chapters I couldn't help hating Severus just a little bit and wondering what Hermione saw in him, and then I had to remind myself that she couldn't see inside his head the way the reader can. But oh dear, how I wanted her to give him a piece of her mind, and then she would and it would all get shot down when Severus reacted to it in the entirely wrong way. It took Lucius and his 'gilded cage' remark for Severus to finally get it right. When Severus fell during the battle I refused to believe he was dead. Actually when we first saw that particular vision I even tried hoping it would be Bellatrix for some reason. Not sure why I chose her, though. I can't even come up with an even remotely plausible reason for her to do such a thing. Then there was the seemingly very long bit where the reader was left guessing as to whether or not he actually had died, and I almost lost hope right before Hermione said that she needed to be near him. That was somewhat of a relief, because then I knew that he was still alive. Only it had me wondering in what state. I figured it was probably some sort of coma, but part of me even imagined some sort of heavy braindamage or reverting to childhood or amnesia or some such. I hadn't caught on to exactly what the spell that hit him had done until Hermione thought of Voldemort's words, even though afterwards it seemed somewhat obvious. I suppose that just means I need to pay closer attention, doesn't it? I absolutely loved and adored Hermione's speech to all the others about trying not to argue and appreciate what they actually had instead of reminding each other of what they didn't have. I loved that, it was awesome. And it nearly made me cry. Since you said there would only be one more part of the story, I'm assuming (hoping desperately) that the potion will work and Hermione and Severus will get their happily ever after. If Severus still thinks he can just break things off with her and send her on her merry way to be happy without him, he's got a second thing coming. I expect when he's feeling better Hermione will tell him exactly where he can stuff those kinds of thoughts. I've just realised how long this review is getting! I think I've gotten all out that I wanted to say though. I shall be awaiting the last bit of the story, and congratulations on the well deserved award! Moreteadk

Author's Response: I am quite happy that you've enjoyed the story. It does have a start that makes us think the worst of Snape, and we add to that that we have no idea what side he will choose. Although Hermione needed time to grow, Severus did, too. The long wait before they could finally be together allowed them time to come to truly care for each other, but even after that, the relationship was still growing and will continue to do so.

Don't feel bad about missing Voldemort's warning. Many people missed it, too. LOL. The next chapter is with my trusty beta and should be posted soon. Until then, happy reading and thanks.

Narcissa turned into a French poodle! hehehe The twins were probably just testing it before giving it to Phle... er Fleur. ~casey

Author's Response: Uhhuh. Maybe they can name it after her some kind of way. Malfoy approved! Change your pesky vistiors into the right little dogs that they are when they overstay their welcome!

Oh, I await the next chapter with great anticipation...Will he awake and be okay? Or will the readers be tortured with a unhappy reunion or even worse...the potion not working! No no no, Southern wouldn't do that to us faithful reviewers. Or would she? o_O Please please PLEASE post soon...by this weekend, as you anticipate, would be wonderful. Thank for being so prompt in your updates! I truly have enjoyed watching the delicious plot unravel before my eyes...and I didn't realize I could be so eloquent. *smirks* As always, The Grim

Author's Response: Southern = sucker for happy endings and such, though at times I am a bit naughty. My beta has my chapter. I imagine it will be up soon. Thanks for reading and following!
