| Poor Hermione, she so wants to believe in Severus and the love that she feels for him, but he is not making it any easier. At least Severus knows that she is worth dying for, but I imagine that he will not be happy when he realizes that she will fight for what she believes is right no matter who she loves. So long as Harry does not do something incredibly stupid as to push her more firmly into Severus' corner. If Harry alienates her she would not hesitate to turn to the man that she loves and who loves her in return. Great job, Southern. I like a thoughtful Lucius, makes him seem more human and less of a monster his is often depicted as. -- B Author's Response: We will see Hermione's thinking crumble slightly in the next chapter, but after that, it comes back. | nice addition, good twist with returning to hogwarts, otherwise there wouldn't be nearly enough challenges in the way..heh. Wouldn't Harry wind up being suspicious? Since he's already stated his intention to watch what Snape's up to with the Marauder's Map, I'm assuming repeatedly seeing Hermione with him Might be a tad of a giveaway -H Author's Response: We see a good bit of Harry's thoughts in the next chapter, which will be up in a few minutes. thanks! | |||

| Hmm, maybe Lupin is the one who takes the hit for Harry and Hermione. Very interesting visions - do Bane and other centaurs play a part in the battle as well? Can Severus now start intimating to Hermione that he is leaning more towards Dumbledore's side? Isn't Draco getting tired of his Honeydukes diet yet?? Thanks for giving Severus and Hermione a little together time - maybe she should "borrow" his Map and Invisibility Cloak! Author's Response: I can't say much about that first part. hehe. sorry. | Snape taking a hex for Hermione? That sounds good, like he is on the fence until that moment, and then chooses to protect her above his wavering loyalties. I can't wait to see how Severus and Hermione get to see each other, and I loved how he got drunk and tried something with her, but she said that she wasn't ready yet. Thanks for the lemons as well, I hope you update soon. Author's Response: That is a thought. I've some tentative plans for snape's loyalties. i hope everyone approves. :) I'm glad he tried to "get some" too. | Oh, I hope that Snape decides whom he is going to support soon. It really should surprise him that Hermione would support Harry. She has been following him since the beginning and although she loves Severus, I do not think she will change her mind.

| I liked this chapter. I am happy to see Hermione is not being blinded by love, or letting love cause her to do things out of character for her. She may be only 18, and we have seen glimpses of that, but she is not stupid. Futhermore, she is honorable. She would not let her feelings get in the way of what is right. But one thing is for sure I think. They ARE falling in love, and both just realizing it.
Curious to know who else is working with Lucius. And I am curious to know what else Bane will see. Who falls? And can it be stopped? Grr! This is too too good!!!! Hurry Tuesday! ;-) smooches! Author's Response: No Lucius in the next chapter, but I do have the other characters in for a moment. She's not blinded by love, but the next chapter will show her backsliding a bit.
