| The Billy Joel quote made me laugh...reminds me of riding in our enormous station wagon with my brother singing at the top of his lungs, "You made the rice, I made the gravy," then his getting really upset when we laughed at him for singing the wrong words. Ah, good times.
I like the idea of a wand holder in the bathroom. Makes perfect sense.

| You do a great job showing that Hermione must walk a fine line when assisting Severus. If she explains or helps too much, he is offended or has a major lucid moment. At those times it seems clear that Severus is aware of how far gone he is compared to the always in control Potions Master and Spy. Hermione is having to be quite versital interacting with him; intellectual discussions earlier in the day, then responding to Severus "behaving playfully and in a way that gives the impression of sexual interest [quote from Encarta Dictionary describing flirtatious]." Just because someone has mental problems does not mean they no longer have thoughts and feelings like everyone else, including attraction. I do not feel you have created or are in the process of creating an inappropriate relationship between Hermione and Severus. He still knows right from wrong, and knows he is not functioning normally now. If you really are psychotic I don't believe you recognize that fact--it's everyone else who is crazy. You are quite the storyteller, and I think you are skillfully dealing with a difficult set of circumstances. Author's Response: Well said, Maddie! Severus is certainly not psychotic. He is indeed aware that he has problems and is working around them as best he can. I am not about to create an inapropriate relationship at this point, though i don't plan to make it easy on either of them. :D Thanks for your thoughtful comments. | This story is so DAMN funny and so DAMN tragic at the same time. I could see Severus running about throwing a tantrum, which was, well damned funny, but sad as well. Y ou're finding such an excellent balance between the humorous and the sad in this fic! And madman or no, I'd have a hell of a time not ogling him either, so I'm feeling very symphathetic towards Hermione in her little visual ooopses. Author's Response: Lol, I would have peeked! Even at that age, when I was very innocent indeed, I would have snuck a look. How could you not? :D I've been trying very hard to keep a good balance between sadness and humor in this fic.
