| The image of Severus giggling maniacally is definately something. I have a huge grin on my face at the thought. Poor guy. Were the Death Eaters so cruel because of his insanity, or did some of it occur before? What is Severus' research? Is he trying to figure out a way to reverse whatever was done to him? I liked how for the first time (at least that I noticed) Hermione didn't correct his term, and told him that she'd stay in there to protect him from any whores that might pop in. Every other time, it seems she'd change 'whore' to Death Eater, Harry, Ron, etc. :) Okay... on to the next one! ~Gin Author's Response: *giggle* I think Hermione is being a bit sarcastic about the whore thing due to frustration. And her frustration is only going to get worse! ;) As far as the Death Eaters are concerned, it was my thought that they picked on Severus because the could. Simple petty cruelty. | Good, I'm glad that's settled. Severus is best staying with Hermione... it serves so many wonderful purposes! *snicker* I think that it's sweet that Draco called a truce... in a way it seemed rather simple... but in another I think that it needed to be done this way. :) Author's Response: I can't resist redeemed Draco. | Happy birthday Pooka!! I can't believe how quickly you keep updating this story. I love reading it, especially because it is so different than any others. Your mad Snape is great stuff to read! | “Oh for fuck’s sake!” snapped Severus. “I was the bloody potions maker. I’m deranged; I’m not stupid!” Okay, you made me laugh out loud there... and my kids in the room come running up to me... "Mommy, what? What?" You made me laugh and feel bad for the man all in one go. The abuse he's going through is horrible. His innocence in some manners, making him effectively a child... but in other instances, it's as if you can feel the pain eminating from him. Very powerful and well done. :) ~Ginny Author's Response: Thanks, Ginny! I think that some folks have an odd view of mental problems. As if any sort of mental illness makes a person completely different, or unable to do anything, or completely stupid. Some even seem to think that if one has a mental illness, it's full blown all the time, and that person has no periods of normalcy. I'm doing my level best to portray Severus' illness as honestly as possible, with all its foilbes, its tides, its humor, and its sadness.
