It's been a wonderful read - and I've really enjoyed following an 'enquiry' so close to my own suspicions...and with a truly moving and funny-sad broken hero. more - please. | I just started reading your fic last night and I would like to say that I love the madness of your Snape! It certainly adds a diminsion to his character that I haven't seen in other fics. However, I waver in my belief that he truly is insane. From what we know about his character elsewhere (canon and fanon), he seems perfectly capable of faking it. Maybe he is the merger of two minds : Dumbledore and Snape? (I've noticed that whore rhymes with Dubledore...) That would make it a Slytherin Mind Meld a la Spock in Star Trek. Furthermore, I would not put it past Snape to take advantage of the situation so that he could take advantage of Hermione. In any event, I look forward to your next chapter, I am hooked, and I am intrigued. Author's Response: I'm so glad that you are enjoying the fic so far! I agree that Severus is perfectly capable of faking his madness, but that's not the case in this fic. The big question is exactly why is he mad, and I'm not about to comment on any theories. | *grins* I really need to sit down and just read this straight through, instead of little nibbles just before bed - but it's quite fun this way. Wonderful chapter, I love how you set up the dynamics between Draco and the others, very believable. And Severus, as usual, was so adorable I just wanted to hug him. *deftly avoids Hermione's smack* For a touch of humor, if you really want to sound JKRish British, it would have read when they pop in and find the man who killed Albus talking to the pot plants? The change from pot plants to potted plants in the Americanized version always cracks me up. ;-) Author's Response: Pot plants? Really? Oh my! In America, that brings a very different image to mind. As in, something my brother grew in my parents' vegetable garden untill they made him chop them down. ;) Lol, I think that since the majority of my readers are American, I'd better stick to potted plants, lest they think Remus et al are just a bunch of doobie smokers. *gigglegigglegiggle* But I'm glad to know the difference. now, if I ever get to England, I won't think everyone is high! :D Thanks, love! :) | |||
