Reviews for The Price of Madness

That chapter seemed like it was a lot more fun for Severus than it ought to have been. I guess he deserved it after all he has been through - and Hermione did indeed deserve the tongue lashing from her friends for her inane idea. It will be interesting to see how they separate the soul from the cup.

Author's Response: Lol, I think that if someone that I cared for was about to get themselves blown up, I'd probably shake the hell out of them as well! Thanks! :)

First of all... Happy Birthday, Pook. I must admit, that was my main reason for reading this over the weekend... reviews are a one-size fits all kind of gift. So, here you go... I hope it fits! :-?

Squeee! I was right, it was Severus in the backyard! GOOD! Someone needed to save Hermione from being an idiot. The fact that the entire scene between them was incredibly intense and emotional just goes to show how excellent of a job you've done of relating Severus' feelings. Love how he makes 'pretty little whore' sound like a term of endearment. Not to mention that... YAY! He kissed her! And Hermione kissed back! LOL! Loved the bit in the library the next morning... sly little Slytherin whore setting Hermione up to be yelled at by Ron and Harry.

All I can say now is... ACK! Now I have to wait along with everyone else!!! Nooooooooo! :D ~Ginny

Author's Response: HA! Now you have to wait! :D But I can't tease you too much, because you gave me the best b-day present ever! Of course it was Severus in the back yard. Lol, I suppose that I could have made it a herd of DEs, but this fic is slow enough in my opinion. I'm glad you liked the Slytherin whore's way of getting help to keep Hermione in line. *giggle* Thanks, Ginny! You rock! :)

I like her discussion with Harry and wonderings about love. Severus, bitterly aware of his illness and wanting to show the best face to Hermione that he possibly can. That was a very touching moment between them. Now... Hermione going out to the backyard in the middle of the night... not so smart. I really hope that it's Snape and he's just trying to protect her. Please tell me that the next chapter isn't a cliffie!!! ~Gin

Author's Response: *giggle* I think it's pretty ovious who's out in the garden. I'm so glad that you liked this chapter, I had a little trouble getting it started, but it finally rolled along. Thanks, Ginny! :)

Oh, that was so horribly sad! It was like watching parents on the verge of a divorce fight and deliberately place their child in the middle of it. Ron's behavior was horrid. He hurt Severus for the soul purpose of making Hermione's life hell. (I think now is a good time to go write something nasty happening to Mr. Weasley!!!)

At this point I'm guessing the the 'old whore' is Albus. Why did he do this to Snape? To protect him? That's the only thing that I can think of. I was thinking that Severus was perceptive enough that he figured out Hermione's plan and his tantrum was a result of his fear that she'd leave him. I wouldn't have thought about killing a spider doing that to him. Poor man!!! Severus needs a hug! :) ~Gin

Author's Response: Ron was a complete prat, I give you that. Though I think that Ron is very much a kind hearted fellow, he has a bit of a history of doing or saying horrible things when he's overset. He tends to act without thinking of the cosequences. I promise you that he's learned his lesson, and won't be so hurtful in future. ;) As for my Severus, he really can't stand to see anything killed, as Draco warned them. Severus is calm most of the time, but he's still nutters and there will always be things that trigger that. About Albus' possible influence, I haven't a thing to say! :x *giggle* Thanks, love! :)

Very interesting little shower there. LOL! Yes, Hermione's in quite a moral predicament, glad that you brought it up b/c I'd been thinking those thoughts for awhile now. Aren't morals a wonderful thing? :)

Author's Response: *giggle* I don't think that Hermione is particularly happy about her moral fiber at the moment! :D Thanks, doll! :)
