| 16-11-2006 09:08 Hahahaa!! I'm totally going to start going around calling people "track polisher." It's a lot easier to get away with than "whore," and has the added bonus of weirding out anyone who hasn't read this fic. ^_^ Hmm...you know, I can't believe that it hadn't occurred to me that Dumbledore immobilized Harry to keep him from interfering. D'oh! Yet another bit of evidence that it truly *was* a setup. It remains to be seen how it will work out in the last book, of course, but at least your next chapter will be along sooner than that. It'll keep my imagination occupied while I wait. As for the "thing" versus "think" issue, I have never in my life heard (or seen in print) the phrase "you've got another think coming." I would have thought it was an out-and-out mistake if I had! I'm a Kentuckian too, by the way. At least we know we don't say that in *this* state... Wondering if Snape's Patronus will ever morph into anything resembling (either end of) a duck, ~The Duckish Whore ^_~ Author's Response: You know, the thing that puzzles me the most about the whole thing vs think issue, is that it doesn't seem to be regional. Folks in the same household will bitterly argue the point! Isn't language a hoot? Lol, and since you are from the area, I'll tell you me and Bri's favorite dumb joke. We often drive up 65 to see my folks who live near Indianapolis. Every time we drive by Seymour, I say, "Look, honey! Seymour, Indiana!" I was wondering ever since Severus sent Hermione off with a sheet of his notes whether his handwriting changed the same way as his Patronus. The summary of your story has intrigued me even longer. "Some madness might be carefully purchased; some sanity knowingly sacrificed" - I just could not find that reference anywhere in your story up until Bill's observation. It seemed like an accident before. I wonder what the AD/SS plot had been. Take your time, I can wait another 20 chapters easily. This is satisfying. Very. Author's Response: I tell you, I've been trying not to rush this story, but there have been times that I just wanted to say to hell with it, and let assorted cats out of the bag! But I think it's best I didn't fall for that. Luckily, I don't think it's going to take another 20 chapters to get this fic tidied up! :D Thanks so much! :) | |||
