| This fic is absolutely amazing, heart breaking, exciting, full of suspense and drama... It even has comic moments when Severus does his usual comments (even though he's supposed to be mad, and that's not a laughing matter).
I believe he's not mad, in the natural way of things. There must have been a mind altering spell the moment he killed Dumbledore, to preserve his 'innocence' before Voldemort's eyes.
I'm loving every single moment of this story and i hope you update as soon as possible.

| Oh! So sweet and tender right up to the end-- please tell me that was Severus at the end, there, or perhaps Draco, or Remus, or Harry, or even Ron-- someone who's supposed to be there, at any rate! And please, PLEASE don't make us wait too long to find out! Author's Response: Might be Severus, might be a rabid horde of Death Eaters. | Snape, presumably, who's been watching her, and still has a good brain ticking over somewhere in there even if the surface layer has been scrambled.
I'm not sure why they're so sure he won't get better, though. Out here in the Muggle world people often have breakdowns and go nuts, and they usually do recover eventually. Author's Response: Too true. Though there are certainly many conditions that there is little to be done about, like schizophrenia. In my mind, it's the extent of Severus' madness that makes them feel little can be done. They are not psychiatrists, after all. And your absolutely right about Severus' mind. His intelligence is still intact, just not always accesible. Thanks! :) | |||

| So it IS love! ((hugs)) to Harry for being a sport about it. I guess we can forgive Ron. ;D I really feel sympathy for Severus and for him realizing that he is nuts off and on. In canon he truly is someone who values his dignity- it seems to be top of his list. I think Hermione gives him his dignity, and he probably heard her admit that she is in love with him. That has to mean a lot to him. Can't wait to find out if he is the one who swatted the cup away from her. Author's Response: I think that for someone as seemingly private and dignified as Severus, madness and it's loss of control would be a constant mortification. I was proud of Harry too this chapter. and I promise Ron has learned his lesson and won't be such a huge prat again! ;) Thanks for the kind review! :) | |||

| Ah, it's as I predicted. Snape may be mad, but he can still read her mind. Excellent chapter. I wonder whether he was awake during that conversation with Harry? And the stuff about the wards is interesting--I'm presuming Harry's skills in this direction are going to come in very handy. Thanks, as always, for posting. (By the way, I don't in the least think this story is moving too slowly! Not a lot is happening physically, but the emotional growth and developments are continuing apace.) Author's Response: Thank you for that comment about the pace. To be honest, it's been something that has worried me this whole fic. I'm used to less talk and more action, lol! But that just didn't work with this story, so I'm trying very hard to walk that line between rushing it and making it too draggy. They are always talking so bloody much! Sometimes I just wish they would shut up and DO something! ( *giggle* Now I'm talking about my characters in the third person. I've been spending too much time with Mad Severus!) As for Snape being awake, nope, he sleeps like a rock when he sleeps at all! And if you think that ward bit with Harry was a wee bit o' foreshadowing, you'ld be right! ;) Thanks, doll! :) | |||

Harry's right, what else, besides love, could make an utter hash of things?
I'm loving the new, mature Harry and Ron - all the more when they sometimes revert and we get to see the contrast!
I'm now comforting myself with the fact that you categorized this as a romance, so even if Hermione is willing to sacrifice herself, it looks like something will stop her. Update soon!!!! (This review would have been more logically arranged if I could figure out how to do line breaks!!!)
Author's Response: You are quite right, this is labled a romance, and there can't be any romance if one of the pairing goes and blows herself up. So I wouldn't fret too much! :D I'm so pleased that you like my Harry and Ron! I want them to be more adult, but that doesn't mean they don't muck things up from time to time.
