| Actually, a recent movie that had two characters scaring each other on sight was The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. | first my general opinion: your story is great even though I'm feeling quite sorry for Sev and I'm missing his sarcastic comments (not meant as criticism, due to his madness he cannot be as acid-tongued as usual, but nevertheless I hope he recovers in any of the next chapters and is his 'usual self')

Author's Response: I'm not sure that Hermione will feel herself lucky. Friend or foe, she's in a spot of trouble! I'm afraid that I can't promise you that Severus will ever be completely his old 'bat of the dungeons' self, I am putting him through rather a lot, after all. | Wow, she admitted more or less to Harry that she’s in love with Severus?!? And she told Severus that she cares deeply for him and called him `love` - was that something like a last statement before she’s going to destroy the cup? And what a terrible cliffy at the end! Who was there in the dark? It couldn’t be Severus by any chance? A very muggle way to put out the cup of her hand, without using any magic. Hm. Perhaps Harry? No, he would have asked what she’s about to do. Who was it??? (Naturally I’m not expecting any answer here, I’m only thinking loud!!) Author's Response: *giggle* I expect that whoever it was that knocked the cup out of Hermione's hand was feeling rather violent at the time. After all, in book two, Arthur and Malfoy go at each other physically, and they're both purebloods! She did call him love! I'm not even sure she realized it, but I'm glad that you noticed! | You must have set a world record for using the word "whore" the most times in one story. ;) I propose a new drinking game—down a shot of firewhisky (or a suitable substitute) each time Severus uses it and two each time he says "pretty little whore." | Last night, I read this story up to your last update, the chapter I'm presently putting a review on, and I have to say that I woke up wanting to read it again. I alternated between reading a few paragraphs ahead to see what was going to happen because it was -that- addicting andthen going back to make sure I didn't miss anything. This is a very well-written fic. Hermione has never been so perfectly in character and managed to be so wonderfully idiotic at the same time; her rationale about who was most expendable of the Order? Oh boy. I also feel terrible for Severus' madness but I have to admit, just seeing the word "whore" in type gets a chuckle out of me almost every time. Can't wait for the next update -- hope it's soon! I'm going mad waiting to find out who knocked the cup out of her hands, though I certainly have my own ideas about who it could be. Author's Response: Wow! What a lovely thing to say! You'll give me a big head! I'm so glad that you like my Hermione. Lol, just because one is fairly intelligent doesn't mean you can't be all wrong about something! The whole 'whore' bit makes me chuckle as well. And I have to do my best to lighten things up now and then or this fic would be a huge downer!
