| i love it..oh please do keep the whore thing i can never tire of it..and thankgod you updated its been forever man, three weeks! ( kidding)oh lovely chapter and i see a little of the old snape.. i have to say he is sexy when he is insane, will he maybe try anything? Author's Response: I tell ya, answering these reviews is like being Hagrid for a day! I'm always afraid that I'll say too much! I admit that I too get a big kick out of the whore thing. When I started this fic, I excitedly told my Bri that I was going to have Severus call everyone whores. And I'll tease you by telling you that he's the only person other than me who knows why! ;) I will tell you that it will continue for a while. I'm so glad you find Severus sexy even though he's nutters. Let's hope Hermione feels the same way! Lol! Whether he'll try anything or not I won't say. | LOL!!! I get the impression that "Severus" is having way too much fun with insanity at this point. Kinda like the obnoxious elder relative that says whatever they want because they ARE older and feel entitled. Hopefully, he will find some incentive to face his life and the world again when his task is over. Another great chapter. Looking forward to your next update. | This is my most favorite new story ever. I just felt the need to tell you that. There were so many moments in this chapter that seem really important to me in terms of development, especially Hermione's ability to calm Snape and idea that Severus had 'done it on purpose,' Draco's demeanor (a much bigger insight into his relationship with Severus, I think, and what's happened in the DE camp thus far), Remus's interactions with Severus and his ability to calm him (reminds me a bit of Hagrid, really), and, of course, Harry and Ron's reactions. I'm glad that Harry shaped up a bit in the last chapter, and I like that he was then able to think rationally, along with Ron, when Severus and Draco showed up. That's really excellent in terms of their characters. One thing I'm a bit curious about though, is the fact that Snape said, “I need to see the whore’s son" in referring to Lily, though on second thought, it could actually mean James too, since Severus doesn't really seem to care about what gender a 'whore' is. I know, quite obviously, that he refers to everyone as a 'whore,' but it seemed slightly more jarring in that context all of the sudden. I even thought that referring to Harry as 'the Whore-Who-Lived' later then seemed to be a slight 'correction' or something. Probably just my overactive imagination. Though, I like that Draco made light of Severus's... ah... interesting nickname for people in general. Made me snort with laughter, which is something I really try to avoid as it's not very lady-like. :) Thanks so much for the update, and keep up the amazing, briliant, wonderful work!!! Author's Response: I'm thrilled that you like it so far, and that you have taken the time to tell me so in detail. It tells me that I'm on the right track! This is a pretty complicated storyline for me, and I'm hoping I keep all the bits sorted and in order! In my mind, Snape cannot see Harry except in terms of him being James' son. That's seemed fairly clear to me in the books, since Severus took such an instant and seemingly personal dislike of Harry from the get go. So to me, Snape calling Harry the whore's son seems perfectly natural. In Severus speak, he's politely told Hermione that he's there to see Potter's son. (Oops, almost said something that I shouldn't! I feel like Hagrid trying to keep secrets!) I'll have to leave it at that for now. I'm certainly not saying that it wasn't jarring, part of mad Severus is that he's sometimes like a sudden loud noise. Thanks again for letting me know what you think! It helps a lot! :) | |||

| It's so clever of you to have started off with the camouflage in the early chapters because the rest just falls naturally from there. This is really a delightful read. | I should remember not to read this story while in the library, especially when I'm supposed to be studying for exams. oops! Great chapter, though I do think you should have a second disclaimer about reading in public or while drinking anything. Hope the updates keep coming quickly. <3 Lily Author's Response: Woot!
